Fischer Park Rules
• Possession or use of personal grillsis prohibited in all City parks. • Consumption of alcoholic beverages is not allowed in parking lots or within 25 feet of park roadways. • Park curfew is midnight to 6:00 am. • Use of tobacco products is prohibited on or within 50 feet of any outdoor city-owned youth athletic fields, skate park, playgrounds or playground equipment. • Park Rangers will collect a $25 fee for individual picnic spaces from Easter weekend – October 31. For residents 1st space is free. • Music or amplified sound is only allowed at the amphitheater by permit for 2 hours. • Pets must be on a leash at all times and are not allowed in the ponds or sprayground area at Fischer Park. Pet leashes can only be extended to a maximum of six feet in length. • Glass containers are prohibited. • Reservations are required for pavilions. • Music, excessive noise and disturbing conduct is not allowed. • Only free-standing canopies without bottoms are permitted for use. • It is prohibited to stake anything into the ground. • Skateboarding, in-line skating, or roller skating is permitted on sidewalks only. Walkers have the right-of-way on multipurpose trails. • Metal detectors are not allowed in City parks. • Feeding of wildlife is prohibited. Ordinance 2018-58
Cancellations, Rainouts & Refunds
A) Full Refund - If received two weeks or more prior to the reservation date. B) Half Refund - During peak season (March–September), if cancellation is received less than two weeks prior to the reservation date. C) No Refund - If a customer fails to show or no cancellation notice is received prior to the date of the reservation. D) Inclement Weather Rain Outs - Will be determined by Parks & Recreation staff. Reservation holders may reschedule based on availability and within 90 days from the original reservation date. Customers must notify the Parks Administration Office 830.221.4350 within the first three working days of the rain out date.
Special Use Permits
Advanced permission is required if your event will include any of the following: • Music or amplified sound (Amphitheater only) • Use of a catering/oversized grill (Hilltop only) • Expected attendance over 200 • Use of tents • Additional amenities Reservations may require additional fees and provision of portable toilets, security, chaperones, food permits and additional waste containers. The Special Event Permit Packet outlines the process to apply for special permits associated with activities conducted within the park.
Individual Picnic Area Fees Per Article 1, Sec. 86-2 of the City of New Braunfels Code of Ordinances, individual picnic spaces are available throughout the park system on a first come, first served basis. Park rangers will collect a $25 per picnic space fee in season (Easter Weekend - October 31st). A picnic space includes but is not limited to tables, chairs, blankets and/or canopies.
Reserving Group Picnic Areas
Schedule your next family or company event in one of the beautiful covered pavilions available at Fischer Park. Picnic reservations are taken up to eighteen (18) months in advance of your selected date. All fees are due and payable at the time of reservation using VISA, Discover, MasterCard, American Express or electronic check. Reservatations can be made:
