Mustache Bar: Jack of all trades Located on the junction of Kyun Taw Road and Narnat Taw Road, this new bar is recently opened only a few steps away from busy Junction Square. The latest contender to Yangon’s ever-growing F&B scene, this place has a quirky name: Mustache Bar. The establishment seems to treat everyone besides nightlife enthusiasts since day one, yet it suits its name. Here’s why. Inside, the room is spacious and dimly lit – a staple in bars. Besides the tables in the hall, there are also couches in the corners that can house up to 8 people if you come in group. Mustache logos and retro photos of men from 18th century (or who knows) are ubiquitous in its interior design. The food menu is more like that of a restaurant than bar, encompassing fried snacks and salads (around Ks 5,000), BBQs (Ks 1,500 for meat and Ks 3,000 for seafood per stick), main dishes (Ks 6,000 - 15,000) and soups (under Ks 6,000) in Asian and Western fusions. The cocktail menu features classics like Negroni, Dry Martini, Margarita and each is priced at Ks 5,000 and the bar’s signatures, Mustache Army, Rockabilly and Tequila OJ are rated from Ks 6,000 – 8,000. Whiskey, rum, vodka, gin, beers and tequila are the options if cocktails are not your thing. A wide range of fruit juices, sodas, smoothies and even tea are also available. Finally, as an overall, we all have that one foodie friend who just wants to enjoy large plates and stick to soft drinks. If you have that friend in your group, we suggest Mustache Bar so you don’t have to worry about him or her while you are getting boozed up on your next crazy night-out.

Address: Kyun Taw Road, Corner of Narnat Taw Road, Near Yun Long Golf Club, Kamayut Township, Yangon Tel: 09 893 999 309, Hours: 3pm – 1am
