Hejohejo: The Sweet Taste of Singapore Hejohejo, a Singapore-based franchise, have recently opened in Myanmar Plaza offering a range of tasty and healthy chendol dessert drinks. A highly popular dessert drink in Singapore, chendol originally came from Indonesia and in 2011 the drink was rated by CNN as one of the world’s 50 most delicious drinks. Chendol contains green jelly, which is made using natural ingredients such as agar agar (seaweed) and pandan leaves. The green jelly is cooked inhouse for over 2 hours to obtain the perfect chewiness. The signature Almond Milk Chendol is refreshing and fragrant and is called “mont let saung” in Myanmar. Instead of the high-cholesterol coconut milk, the almond milk drink has many health benefits too. Other popular flavours include the Pink Milk Chendol, Matcha Milk Chendol and Milo Coffee Chendol. Hejohejo Pink Milk Chendol is inspired by the Thai Pink Milk (Nom Yen), a beautiful drink that is flavourful and perfect for someone with a sweet tooth. The Matcha Green Tea Chendol is a healthier option with minimal sweetness. The strong dosage of Matcha in the drink is nutritious and helps in weight loss. The Milo Coffee Chendol is specially made for Milo-lovers who also wants to have their caffeine hit.
