This recital is presented as a degree requirement for a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies.
Drummer/percussionist Reyna Machado grew up in Hughson, California, where she began playing drums at the age of five. She began private lessons at the age of ten and was introduced to big band in her middlehigh-school years where she found her admiration for jazz. Machado’s musical journey is not limited to jazz—she also enjoys playing Tejano, Latin, Latin jazz, soul, rock, classical, and many other genres.
