Infant Story Time Thursdays, June 7, 28, July 12, 26 & August 9 @ 10:30 a.m. A 30-minute lap-sit story time for children under age 2 and their parents/caregivers

Animals of the Night! -- Wednesday, June 20 @ 11:00 a.m. Aark Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center presents our Summer Reading Kick-off with a lesson about our native wildlife. Meet live animals that you may not get to see too often because they come out at night while you’re sleeping. The wildlife experts from Aark will bring their furry and feathered friends to enhance your understanding of the role we play in protecting the wildlife around us. Learn what to do if you find an orphaned or injured animal.

Saturday, June 2; 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Visit our table on Main St. for a chance to win library bucks or free books from the sale. The sale runs from Friday, 6/1 thru Wednesday 6/6 at the library. Thursday, 6/7 special: $1/bag clearance sale.

Theatre & Kids Summer Caravan This theatre program helps connect kids to the joy of live performance through well-known fairy tales and works from literature – always with a bit of a twist. Music also plays a big role in the shows. The Journey of Thumbelina Thurs., June 21 @ 10:30 a.m. Sign-up at the library beginning June 7 Great American Tall Tales Tues., July 24 @ 10:30 a.m. Sign-up beginning July 10 Friday Movie Matinee -- A children’s movie is shown each Friday @ 2 p.m. during July and August. Miss Lisa’s Family Story Time Thursdays, June 7, 28, July 12, 26, August 9 @ 11:30 a.m. For children ages 2-5. Parents and siblings are welcome.

Drop-In Craft Days Mondays, June 25, July 23, August 13 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. (or as long as supplies last)

What kind of arts and craft project will you dream up? Stuffed Animal Sleepover Drop off a stuffed animal at the library between July 26 and 31 for a sleepover, (make sure it’s one you can sleep without.) We’ll take pictures of the animals’ adventures during their sleepover at the library. Pick up your friend during a pajama party on Thurs., Aug. 2 @ 6:30 p.m.

Astronomy Shows Days and times TBD

We will be borrowing a StarLab portable planetarium from Merck during the weeks of July 16 and 23. We will plan to run a few shows about the night sky and constellations. Watch our website for specific dates and times.

Author Signing -- Carol B. Polis The Lady is a Champ Friday, June 1 @ 6 p.m. Professional boxing’s first female judge will be at the library signing her new book, The Lady is a Champ. Copies of the book will be available for purchase for $20.00. The “First Lady of Boxing” tells her “Rocky with a purse” story.

Gazebo Story Times Fridays, July 6, 13, 20, 27 @ 11:00 a.m. Miss Lisa will present her story time at the gazebo in Upper Gwynedd’s Parkside Place, aka Castle Park.

Greater Philadelphia Search & Rescue Demonstration Mon., Aug. 6 @ 11:00 a.m. Meet a search and rescue dog. Learn how search and rescue team members do their jobs. Find out what to do in case you get lost.

Read to Rocky Mondays, June 25, July 23, August 13 @ 10:30 a.m. Children who are learning to read and reluctant readers can practice by reading aloud to a very patient pup.

Science in the Summer July 30 & 31 GlaxoSmithKline and the Franklin Institute present Simple Machines. Machines can do amazing things. Students will learn about six kinds of simple machines. They will also build simple machines that help people do work more easily, and learn about motion. They will discover that everything in the universe moves and why.

All students must be preregistered. Registration is closed. Classes are full.

Explore Your Town: Chick-fil-A Thursday, July 19 @10:00 a.m. Learn what happens behind the counter. We will meet at the Montgomery Mall Food Court. Sign up at the library beginning June 20; space is limited. Recommended for ages 6 and up. Morgan Log Home Thursday, August 2 @ 10:30 a.m. We will meet at the house. Sign up at the library beginning July 2; space is limited. Recommended for ages 6 and up. Summer Reading Celebration Ice Cream Social Monday, August 20 @ 6 p.m. Join us as we celebrate our summer of reading. Sign up at the library beginning August 1.

Living History -- The Civil War Soldier Thursday, August 23 @ 2 p.m. Historical Re-enactor, Mike Jesberger will present the Union and Confederate Soldier. Learn about life on the march, in camp and in battle. Complete with the equipment, weapons and personal items of a soldier, the program will give you a better understanding of the struggle to keep our nation intact.

Little Builders Club Thursdays, June 21, July 12, August 9 @ 4:30 p.m. Use your imagination as we build with K’Nex and LEGO bricks. Building materials are available for all ages. Clean and Green Extravaganza Saturday, July 21 at 9 a.m. Our 2nd Clean and Green event will be held outside in front of the library. Activities include carwash, document shredding, recycling, bake sale, used books, raffles, and more.

Coming this Fall Trivia Night Sat., Sept. 15 3rd annual beef and beer trivia contest. Which team will win? Oktoberfest Sat., Oct. 6 4th annual Oktoberfest with an International Flair. Music, Dance, Beer Garden, Food, Games, Crafts, etc.
