Chapter Officers earn Region III Office The Morris Area FFA Chapter had two chapter officers run for a Region III office. Savannah Aanerud received Region III Secretary, and Jake Anderson received Region III Treasurer.

The Agriculture Communication's team placed second, and Rebekah Aanerud placed first at state and made it to Nationals in her Agriculture Communications Proficiency.

I joined FFA when I was in eighth grade and I’ve never looked back. Many people think FFA is an organization about only agriculture. I would say that those people are wrong. FFA is so much more than that. Yes, the Career Development Event topics are based off of agriculture, but students get a lot more out of this organization other than just knowledge about agriculture. I have learned how to be a leader, how to speak in front of people, communicate better, and been given amazing opportunities through the FFA. I have been in many different officer position and have attended conferences on the state and national levels that helped prepare to be a
leader. I also had really awesome people to look up to when I was younger in sports and through FFA. I have met so many amazing people through FFA and have had some incredible experiences, too. While in FFA I have been to Washington D.C., Louisville Kentucky, and many fun trips to the cities. The National FFA Organization has impacted my life in such a positive way and have become a better person because of it. Four applications ranked at state level Prairie Pioneer Kiddie tractor pull Last summer the chapter officers helped out with the Prairie Pioneer Days tractor pull.
Savannah Aanerud, Ashlee Koehl, Joanna Moser, and Becca Holland competed in Proficiency Areas at completed applications and then interviewed at the region level. All four placed first in the region and will move on to compete at the state level.
Koehl’s four years as a FFA member Washington, D.C., attending National Convention in Louisville, KY, and multiple state leadership camps. Many Career Development Events have also contributed to helping me become a better speaker and presenter. I have competed in Novice Parliamentary Procedure, Market Plan, Ag Issues, and Job Interview. Through these CDE’s I have made several con-
nections within the community and school that have been very valuable to my personal growth and success. I became the Chapter Director my junior year and this past year I have served as the Chapter Vice President and Region III Secretary. While all these activities within FFA serve a purpose and meaning, there is one important lesson I have learned through the
past four years that I will keep forever, serving others. Being provided with many volunteer projects in FFA, I have realized how I am able to help others and make even the smallest difference in our school and community. Ag in the classrom For the past eight years the Morris Area FFA Chapter has taught inner city elementary school students about agriculture. We teach them about the different industries in agriculture and bring animals down since some of them have never seen them before. It is a really fun and exciting experience to see what these students know and help them gain more knowledge.

FFA’s impact on Moser
The Region III FFA hosted COLT and Fall Rally The Region III Team hosted COLT and Fall Rally in Fergus Falls, completing a successful day with many new members and officer teams attending. There were informational workshops about horses, speaking, CDEs, and SAEs. The State FFA Sentinel Sam Johnson also presented workshops.
The FFA is an organization that has changed in many ways over the last 88 years, but in the past 5 years it has made so many changes to me as an individual. I was soo excited to become a member when I became an 8th grader and that is one of the greatest decisions I have ever made. I have competed in a variety of Career Development Events such as General Livestock Judging, Market Plan, Agriculture Issues and Floriculture. Competing in all of these events and attending leadership conferences I have gained many leadership skills that will help me in the future. By participating in events
such as State Greenhand Leadership Conference and State Leadership Conference for Chapter Leaders has allowed me to meet new people and taught me more about the FFA organization. FFA has opened up many doors for me and helped me make connections that I will utilize for the rest of my life. I strongly encourage anyone to consider joining the National FFA Organization.
