Community Events onmouth enjoys several established annual community events throughout the year. M The Great Nicola Magic Festival hosted by the Warren History Museum and is fast becoming one of the most popular events of the community.
During the first full weekend in August is one of the largest car shows in Illinois, the Monmouth Cruise Night, features 3,000 vehicles and more than 25,000 people. In addition to classic cars, the show also features unique food vendors and live music. Over Labor Day, Monmouth enjoys the Prime Beef Festival, which began in 1948. The festival has evolved over the years to include a parade, princess, pageant, demolition derby, industrial tent, strong man competition, children’s events and fair rides. The Maple Leaf Community Concert Series begins in the fall and features several unique performances held in Monmouth College’s Dahl Chapel. Tickets sold by season or individually.
