MELODY HAMMETT Melody owns and founded The Asher Lane Bridal Shop in Bonham, TX. She has been designing bridesmaid and brides party dresses for the last 2.5 years before recently opening her bridal shop. She worked a corporate job for over 15 years before getting into the retail industry providing a strong business background. She has been married for 11 years with a blended family of 4 young adults and 2 grand babies. Fun fact: She loves Jesus and her coffee!
GRACIE LINDSEY Gracie has been raised around weddings from planning, florals and catering, she has been a part of the family business every step of the way. She has been the lead coordinator at Bon Appetit Y’all and paved her own way in the wedding industry for the past 3 years. She married her best friend in 2021 and is the mama to a fun and spunky 2 year old girl. Fun facts: I am a Razorback (woo pig) and I always cry during the father daughter dances at weddings!
TONYA HORTON Tonya Horton's life is full of love and family. She feels very blessed to be married for 24 years and a mother of three daughters with 4 grandkids. Tonya also works as the Operations Manager for The Asher Lane and enjoys helping with bridal appointments. With 7+ years of experience as a wedding planner, Tonya has a true passion for all the details that make a wedding special. Her favorite part of any wedding is seeing the look on the groom's face when his bride walks down the aisle.
JENNIFER TAYLOR Jennifer is the owner of Bon Appetit Y’all, a catering and event company, two boutique cafes and gift shops- Blue Willow Cafe, and BAY at the Lake, as well as the 100-year-old farmhouse entertainment venue, Old Quail Run Farm. Over the years, she has gained a reputation for creating picture perfect experiences- whether it be weddings, farm-to-table dinners, or live music shows. Jennifer has been in the wedding industry for 20 years and loves working alongside her family to create the perfect day for her brides!

Her venue is filled with beautiful details nestled in one of Texas’ hidden gems in Denison, TX. As you can see in the styled shoots, a lot of hard work was put into reviving this gorgeous manor and she has such an eye for detail!

THE DETAILS Who says you can’t have boho in the spring!? This was such a fun project with the donkeys included in on this boho themed wedding shoot. We added a super fun photo backdrop put together by pretty little things and bubbles and bash with bay weddings. The floral details on the dress by The Asher Lane was the perfect tie together for this whole feel of an intimate day. And the tiny cakes at the place settings were to die for!! DETAILS This twist on the classic modern day bride was what bridal dreams are made of. The classic black and white tones made every picture pop and made for a timeless look that you can’t beat. All of the small details were some of our favorite pieces from the photographers, but the real life cinderella ball gown just takes your breath away at every angle. With the simple but elegant look, it was a statement piece that was one we will forever ooh and aww over. The pearl detailing in the veil and the small bows on the bridesmaids dresses were the details to notice as they add the sweetest touch of class and elegance. Instead of the traditional cake cutting, we hosted a champagne pour and used the leftover glasses for the candid moments of the bride and groom digging in! THE DETAILS We were dying over these colors and details for this bachelorette party/bridal shower!! Why not make the most fun out of both! With special touches from a coffee bar, dj and a bounce house, this was such a fun time! Some of our favorite details were the fruit included in the table scapes, the painted vueve bottles and THE FRINGE!!! Bubbles and Bash absolutely killed it with the decor from the fringe wall and ceilings to the balloons over the bounce house and begind the vendors created the extra pop that really made that wow factor! Ruthi Hutson created the most gorgeous 4 teired cake to match the theme and we still can’t get over it! TheAsher Lane delivered the most gorgeous bridal dresses that are perfect for any bacheloretteparty, shower or reception change! A Successful Soiree
We sat down with one of the best in the business to bring you the best tips when it comes to prepping for the perfect reception! How do you keep the energy up and the dance floor lively throughout the night? I try to cater to EVERYBODY that would be at a wedding, from the grandkids to the grandma and everybody in between! I keep the energy up by playing the hits from all of the era's and all of genres that my newlyweds have selected on their planning sheet. I rarely play the whole song (there are always exceptions of course but) for the most part I try to keep the dance floor lively by mixing songs often and bringing in wedding banger after banger!

What are some of the best items you have seen a bride and groom bring to help hype up the dance floor? I'm a HUGE fan of the LED glow sticks and the flashing cowboy hats! They both ROCK! I love the glow sticks because it gives your guests that may not be huge "dancers" something to do with their hands and just adds to the atmosphere of the dancefloor! If I see that a couple has LED glow sticks during my set up, I KNOW it's going to be a PARTY!

What is your best advice for lighting and presentation?

Oh gosh... where do I begin?! Presentation is KEY for me, from everything being centered to the room/space to every cable being taped, at a wedding, everything has to look perfect and I take HUGE pride in the presentation of my set up! Now, to lighting, if a couple were looking for a discrete yet effective way to transform their reception space with lighting, I would 100% recommend some battery powered wireless uplights, they can give your reception space a super clean look during cocktail hour and dinner but then can completely transform your dance reception by washing your walls with flashing colors, I'd highly recommend uplighting!

Outfit Change: Your wedding dress is the statement of your day and something you will cherish forever or maybe even pass down one day, but lets be real... it’s not always the most comfortable by the time you want to party! One of our favorite trends is seeing brides change into a “party dress” for their reception! Our best tip is to wear your wedding dress for your first dance and father/daughter dance and while your dj is getting the crowd warmed up, take a quick second to change into something flirty and fun (and especially movable) for your dance party and exit! This allows you to have the best of both worlds and enjoy your day to it’s full capacity... plus it makes for some super cute pics!

Boho Black Tie
Christian and Shelby met in college at the apartment complex they both lived in. There was actually a photographer there taking photos for the website and he asked if they could all sit around the fire pit and act like they were hanging out talking! Their wedding day was simple and classy with a touch of boho. The wedding party hyped this couple up all day, and kept Shelby and Christian at the center of this otherwise extremely family-oriented wedding.

A Sunday Kind of Love My absolute favorite thing about this day was how intentional and prayerful it was! There were so many precious moments where the couple stopped to take in the day and pray with each other and their loved ones. They were also super intentional about showing their guests how appreciative they were, and even hand wrote letters for each guest to read when they sat down at their table space. Allie + Blake had such a happy, giddy and joyful love! Their smiles lit up the whole room all day long.

Champagne at the Chateau Marc-Henri and Elellta had an intimate wedding with a guest count under 40 people. They spent the day enjoying everyone's company and celebrated with those who were most important to them. Paired with a lower guest count, they also had a small wedding party. They valued the photos and made sure they had time to have the day photographed in an organic and meaningful way to them. The intimate occasion paired with a documentary and candid photograph style made for a beautiful day.
