JOB DESCRIPTION

MAIN PURPOSE

To assist the marketing manager to implement the College’s marketing strategy, including administration of the College’s website and social media.

MAIN DUTIES

• Work with the Marketing Manager to implement the College’s marketing strategy in line with the College’s Vision and Aims.

• Create content and manage the College’s website CMS, working with developers to ensure the site is fit for purpose and to develop the site as necessary to meet the needs of the College.

• Manage, monitor and create content for all the College’s social media platforms.

• Develop newsletter campaigns in line with the marketing strategy to our stakeholders including alumni and parents.

• Develop graphics and marketing material ensuring brand consistency.

• Assist when required with College events.

• Provide administrative support for the successful delivery of a calendar of College events.

• Undertake post-event, follow ups.

• Support home school communication to celebrate pupil success.

• Assist with the procurement of necessary marketing and other materials including liaison with designers, printers, photographers, merchandise suppliers etc. as required.

• Ensure that all work undertaken is conducted in a confidential manner and that the General Data Protection Regulations and the College’s data protection requirements are strictly adhered to.

• Report urgently any health and safety issues to the relevant manager or the Premises Office within the College.

• Undertake any training required by the College.

• Undertake any other duties that may be assigned to the post holder within the level of the post.

There is likely to be the requirement for the successful candidate to occasionally work outside normal working hours.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

1. Experience of working with social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn.

2. Experience of Microsoft 365 suite.

3. Good interpersonal, written communication and numeracy skills.

4. Excellent organisational skills to work on multiple campaigns, attention to detail and high levels of accuracy are required.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

1. Practical working knowledge of Adobe Suite including InDesign.

2. Practical working knowledge of a website content management system.

3. Experience in event administration.

The College reserves the right to use any or all the desirable criteria and to enhance any or all of the essential criteria as the interviewing panel sees fit in shortlisting for interview.

Appointment to this position is subject to the successful candidate undertaking an Access NI check and to this check being clear of any offences that may affect appointment to this post. The College’s decision on what is acceptable in terms of this check will be final. The cost of this check is £32.00 and the successful candidate will be required to pay the school for this service.

Appointment to this position is also subject to two satisfactory references being received.
