A year has passed so quickly. And what a year it’s been. The astounding support and reviews we received from around the world after our inaugural (2014) 3-day event was heartwarming and has made me extremely proud and honoured. Vancouver Web Fest – Canada’s Premier International Web Festival - has proven to be one of the top International Web Festivals and my team and I will continue to strive for excellence. Vancouver Web Fest is a not-for-profit society dedicated to promoting the highest quality web content. VWF2015 will not only be exploring the future of new and existing web series by facilitating networking opportunities between the content creators, production companies, distributors and buyers of online content, but also the evolution of web content including apps, games and commercials.

We have added a full day of workshops to our 3-day festival specifically addressing some of the challenges of digital production, and the best practices for taking advantage of the latest advancements in technology. The countless hours the VWF2015 Team has put in over the past year will be “put out there” with the hope that you will be inspired, moved and energized by the power of web series and web content. Larps: the series Canada / Comedy / Producer: Benjamin Warner LARPs: The Series is a fictional web series that explores how the imagination of play affects reality, and vice versa. In a LARP, or live action roleplaying game, players assume the identity of their chosen character and physically perform their actions (as opposed to simply describing them.)
Late Bloomer USA / Reality / Producer: Kaye Kittrell Late Bloomer is an urban garden reality show hosted by Kaye Kittrell which follows her discoveries and development as an urban food grower in Los Angeles, California.
Les Jaunes Canada / Fantasy / Producers: Katerine Lefrançois / Pascal Plante Tom and Mia, two everyday normal grocery store clerks, find themselves in the midst of a mysterious invasion of yellow crawling brains that contaminate the population and turn them into “Jaunes” (a kind of zombie aka “Yellows”).
