SAUDI AGRICULTURE 2022 ATTRACTS 21000 VISITORS AND OVER 450 EXHIBITORS

The 39th edition of the Saudi Agriculture Exhibition, the Middle East largest and most influential event for the agriculture industry was hosted once again at the prestigious Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center from 17th to 20th October, 2022.

The trade exhibition and concurrent conference organized under the patronage of the Ministry of Environment Water & Agriculture (MEWA) welcomed more than 21,000 industry professionals who could once again source their needs from the over 450 exhibitors from the Kingdom and fourty-five countries.

The exhibition played a massive role in contributing to Saudi vision 2030. At the exhibition, more than 28 agreements of cooperation and cooperative exchange were signed, in addition to various commercial deals.

The exhibition and the accompanying forum also had the presence and participation of scholars and academics from different countries of the world, as well as from various Saudi universities. More than 38 working papers were presented, in addition to research in the agricultural field.

many accompanying workshops were also held, which made the show a business hub for making deals, and meetings, providing facilities, options, plans, and strategies in the agriculture sector, and the latest findings of the whole world in this sector.

The speech of His Excellency the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Engineer Abdul Rahman bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Fadhli, during his opening of the exhibition and the accompanying forum, disclosed that the Kingdom has achieved high self-sufficiency rates for many crops, which contributed to supporting and enhancing food security, and led to an increase in local content and output, directly or indirectly, in manufacturing and importing.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, Ajlan bin Abdulaziz Al-Ajlan confirmed that the national committees of the Federation of Chambers have achieved many achievements in line with the state's goals to achieve food security and economic prosperity and that they seek to overcome difficulties to stimulate agricultural investment in Saudi Arabia.

The CEO of Riyadh Exhibitions Company, Muhammad Al-Husseini, said at the end of the exhibition that the success of the show comes in strengthening this vital sector, mainly as it served as an umbrella and a forum between the countries of the world in Saudi Arabia.

The presence of the most prominent authorities, organizations, and ministries, along with sector leaders and investors, is clear evidence of its importance, quality, and the extent of its desired benefit. They are preparing for the 40th Saudi Agriculture Trade Exhibition to be more significant. They have more involvement, including seminars and scientific workshops that will further enhance the exhibition and create a significant mark in the agricultural field worldwide.
