AUCTION GUIDELINES FIFTH LINE BIDDING
Be the fifth bidder! When you bid on the FIFTH LINE of a silent auction bid sheet you will be entered into a raffle to win free artwork installation services. Imagine having a professional come to your home and help you hang and arrange your art! The good news is that even if you don’t win that particular item, just having your bid on the FIFTH LINE will enter you into the raffle. Go ahead— be the fifth bidder. Three winners will be chosen at random after the Auction. All winners will be notified by email following the event. High bids will be transferred accordingly the night of the Auction and proxy bids will be monitored by house bidders throughout the evening. During check-in, guests will receive bidder numbers when they provide a valid credit card or leave a signed blank check at the registration table. Bidder numbers will not be issued unless either a credit card or a check is provided. This will ensure prompt payment of all artwork and shorten the checkout process significantly. If you registered to come with a guest, other than your spouse, your guest will have to register for his or her own bidder number unless you have requested otherwise.

To expedite your check-in process, contact Fundraising Events Coordinator Helen Zhang at 617.879.7014 to attach a credit card to your bidder number before the Auction. SILENT AUCTION BIDDING
There are three Silent Auction sections that will close in twenty-minute intervals upon completion of the Live Auction. Each item offered in the Silent Auction will have a bid sheet posted adjacent to it. To place a bid, write your bidder number on the sheet opposite the amount you wish to bid. Please place bids according to the minimum increments posted on the bid sheet; any bid not in the proper increment will be disqualified. You may bid on any item in the Silent Auction until the section is closed. At the posted closing time a Silent Auction Captain will collect the bid sheets and determine the winning bid for each item. If you are the winning bidder at the close of the Silent Auction section, your bid constitutes a legal contract to purchase the item. In the event of a dispute over a Silent Auction bid, the Executive Director of Advancement will determine the winning bid and the decision will be final. BUY NOW OPTION
Any Silent Auction lot may be purchased outright by paying 150% of its stated value. Artwork may be purchased at any time during the Auction by placing your bidder number on the Buy Now line of the artwork’s bid sheet. Once the Buy Now line on a bid sheet has been filled in, the work is considered sold. Bid sheets will remain adjacent to the work until the section is closed. The Buy Now option is available during the Opening Reception on Wednesday, March 28 and during the Public Preview Days on March 29—April 5 and to online bidders at paddle8.com/auction/massart.

The Live Auction will begin at 8:00PM and continue without breaks until all items have sold. To bid in the Live Auction, hold your bid card up high with the number facing the Auctioneer. The highest bid acknowledged by the Auctioneer constitutes a legal contract to purchase the item by that bidder.

BUYER’S PREMIUM
A buyer’s premium equal to 10% of the winning bid will be applied to each lot sold and will be paid by the buyer as part of the purchase price. A buyer’s premium will not be applied to any pledge(s) made during the Live Auction’s Raise Your Paddle fundraising opportunity. Gifts made through Raise Your Paddle are outright donations and are fully tax-deductible as allowed by law. SALES TAX
All artwork purchases are subject to the Massachusetts 6.25% sales tax unless the purchaser possesses a Massachusetts sales tax exemption number. Exemption certificates from other states will be accepted if presented with a business card or on letterhead. All certificates must be presented during guest check-in. PAYMENT
Cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express will be accepted as payment. Check-out stations will open twenty minutes after the close of the Live Auction. All purchases are final and must be paid for on the evening of the Auction. No exchanges or refunds will be allowed.
The Office of Fundraising Events will contact buyers who did not make pick-up/delivery arrangements in the weeks following the Auction. GENERAL RULES
The Massachusetts College of Art and Design Foundation reserves the right to add items to or withdraw items from the Auction without notice. The MassArt Foundation has attempted to describe and catalog all items accurately, but all items are offered “as is, where is”. The MassArt Foundation neither warrants nor represents, and in no event shall be responsible for, the correctness of the descriptions, genuineness, authorship, provenance, or condition of the items. No statement made in this catalog, orally at the Auction, or elsewhere shall be deemed such a warranty, representation, or assumption of liability. The values listed are estimates of fair market values. Items have not been appraised by the MassArt Foundation. Each person (bidder) issued a bid card assumes all risks and hazards related to the items obtained at the Auction. Each bidder agrees to hold harmless from any liability arising there from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design Foundation, its employees, the event organizers, sponsors, and volunteers connected with the Auction. Born in 1963 in Tokyo, Takashi Murakami’s work employs popular culture and cartoon imagery. He received his BFA, MFA, and PhD from the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. He is classically trained in the traditional nihon ga style. He has had recent solo shows at Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain, Paris; Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo; Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; and Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin, Paris. Takashi’s work has been exhibited in prestigious museums all over the world. In 2008, the Brooklyn Museum held a major retrospective of Murakami’s work.

Fred Liang received his BFA from the University of Manitoba and his MFA from Yale University, and presently serves as the Chair of Fine Arts 2D at MassArt. Sophia Ainslie was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. She received her MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts and was awarded the Anne and Graham Fund award to attend the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Maine. She has held multiple residencies in the U.K. and the United States, notably at Gasworks in London and Yosemite Place in San Francisco. She is the recipient of the inaugural Hendricks Art Fund for Tufts Graduates, a Massachusetts Cultural Council Fellowship for Painting and a grant from the Artist’s Resource Trust. Ainslie is represented by Gallery NAGA in Boston, MA.
Saar received a BA from Scripps College and an MFA from the Otis Art Institute. She has received awards from the Joan Mitchell Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Guggenheim Foundation. Her work can be found in the collections of museums such as the Detroit Institute of Arts, the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Whitney Museum of American Art.

Fueled by a common interest in identity, performance artists Alicia, Kelly, and Sara Casilio (identical triplet sisters) and National Geographic photographer Cary Wolinsky joined forces in 2006 to form TRIIIBE—an artistic collective that often expands to include family, friends, and fellow artists. TRIIIBE’s painstakingly staged photographs, performances, and videos play up the sameness of the sisters to provoke cultural conversations about gender, equality, and difference, while traversing hot-button social and political issues.
Laura McPhee received her BA from Princeton, her MFA from RISD, and is a professor of photography at MassArt. She has received numerous awards including a Fulbright Scholar’s Fellowship, a New England Foundation for the Arts Fellowship, and a Guggenheim Memorial Fellowship. This photograph is from her Desert Chronicle project made in the American West that explores human and geologic time. McPhee’s work is in many collections including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

Courtesy of the artist Born and raised in Lebanon, Matar moved to the U.S. in 1984. Her work focuses on womanhood in both cultures, with an emphasis on identity and universality. Her work was recently exhibited at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Carnegie Museum of Art; National Museum for Women in the Arts; Howard Greenberg Gallery; and the National Portrait Gallery, London. A mid-career retrospective of her work is currently at the Amon Carter Museum, in a solo exhibition In Her Image. Sangbin IM’s composite photographs are seamless blends of painting and photography, integrating the two mediums to create a hyperrealist vision. IM received his MFA in painting and printmaking at Yale University as a Fulbright scholar and currently teaches at Sungshin Women’s University in Seoul. His work is held in major public collections, including the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Korea; the Centro Museo Vasco de Arte Contemporáneo, Spain; and the Seoul Museum of Art, Korea.
Yue Minjun is an accomplished painter, sculptor and printmaker whose signature motif of gleefully laughing figures serve as caricatures that reflect the contradictions and absurdities of contemporary life. The artist is often listed as a member of the cynical realism movement that emerged in the mid-1990s in China and that came of age in the wake of the socio-political upheaval created by the Tiananmen Square demonstrations in Beijing.

George Nick is Professor Emeritus at MassArt. Blurring the line between realism and expressionism, Nick has described his painting style as intuitive and inventive. His work is in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, Lincoln and the Hirshhorn Museum, Washington D.C., among many others. Paul Wackers was born in New Haven, Connecticut in 1978. He graduated with his BFA from Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington, DC, and earned his MFA in Painting from the San Francisco Art Institute. Wackers has exhibited nationally and internationally in Belgium, Denmark, Canada, Peru, California, and New York. He completed a large-scale public mural for The James Hotel (New York, NY) and has been featured in Paper Magazine, Hyperallergic, Juxtapoz, and New American Painting. His work is held in numerous private and public collections, including the Chevron Corporation (San Ramon, CA), Fidelity Investments (Boston, MA), and Wellington Management (Boston, MA).
Barbara received her MFA in photography from the Rochester Institute of Technology and is a current MassArt photography professor. She has been the subject of solo exhibtions at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Phoenix Art Museum, and the Peabody Essex Museum. She has received fellowships and grants from the New England Foundation for the Arts, the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation, and the Buhl Foundation. Her work is in the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, the National Museum of American Art, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

Robert Freeman has been showing nationally for over 20 years. His paintings have been exhibited at the Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and Williams College Museum of Art in Williamstown, MA.
Claes Oldenburg was born in 1929 in Stockholm. Oldenburg studied literature and art history at Yale University, and art under Paul Wieghardt at the Art Institute of Chicago. He also worked as an apprentice reporter at the City News Bureau of Chicago, and afterward opened a studio, where he made magazine illustrations and easel paintings. Oldenburg became a prominent figure in Happenings and Performance art during the late 1950s and early 1960s, was heralded as a Pop artist with the emergence of the movement in 1962. Over the past three decades, Oldenburg’s works have been the subject of numerous performances and exhibitions including solo exhibitions around the country.

Romare was born in 1911 in Charlotte, NC and died in New York in 1988. Romare began college at Lincoln University, transferred to Boston University and completed his studies at New York University, graduating with a degree in education. He was the recipient of many awards and honors throughout his lifetime. Honorary doctorates were given by Pratt Institute, Carnegie Mellon University, Davidson College, and Atlanta University, to name but a few. He received the Mayor’s Award of Honor for Art and Culture in New York City in 1984 and the National Medal of Arts in 1987. His life and art are marked by exceptional talent and he was also a celebrated humanist, demonstrated by his lifelong support of young, emerging artists.

Robert Amesbury is a California-based artist. His work is painted from a set up still life that is translated into a language of flat plains of color that pop. Amesbury’s work is in the collection of the Harvard University Art Museums and Fidelity Investments.
Francesco Clemente was born in Naples, Italy in 1952. After an early academic background in classical languages and literature, he briefly enrolled as an architecture student at the University of Rome in 1970. Throughout the 1970s he exhibited drawings, altered photographs, and conceptual works across Europe. Since 1973 he has frequently resided and worked in India. The artist’s comprehensive oeuvre was the subject of a retrospective exhibition, Clemente, at the Guggenheim Museum, New York (1999–2000), which traveled to the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, Spain (2000). Most recently, a survey of the artist’s work was organized by the Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Napoli (2002–03).

Muholi is a South African artist and visual activist. She received an MFA from Ryerson University in Toronto. Her honors include an International Center of Photography Infinity Award and the 2013 Fine Prize at the Carnegie International. Muholi has exhibited at venues such as Documenta and the Venice Biennale. Her work is included in the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the Brooklyn Museum, the Tate Modern, and others.
Peter was born in Kingston, Jamaica and immigrated to the US in 1962, where he made his home in Sacramento, CA. He became a US naturalized citizen in 1983 and received his MA in painting from San Jose State University in 1979. He is a professor of painting and former Chair of the Fine Arts 2D department at MassArt and he currently resides in South Orange, NJ; Boston, MA; and Beijing, China. Kentridge lives and works in Johannesburg, South Africa. In 1976 he received his BA from the University of Witwatersrand. Following his first solo exhibition in 1979, his work was shown throughout Europe and the US, including recent solo exhibitions at the MoMA, Hirshhorn Museum, Centre Pompidou, and Castello di Rivoli. He is the recipient of various awards, including the Blue Ribbon Award at the American Film Festival and the Carnegie Prize.
Ambreen Butt was born in Lahore, Pakistan and received her BFA in traditional Indian and Persian miniature painting from the National College of Arts in Lahore. She moved to Boston, Massachusetts in 1993, and earned her MFA in painting in 1997 from MassArt. Her work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions, both nationally and internationally. Among the many institutions that have exhibited her work are the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, the Brooklyn Museum, the Kunsthalle Fridericianum in Kassell, Germany, the National Art Gallery in Islamabad, Pakistan and the Sunshine Museum in Beijing, China. Butt has been the recipient of many awards including the Brother Thomas Fellowship from the Boston Foundation, Maud Morgan Prize, and a Joan Mitchell Foundation grant.

Morell received his undergraduate degree from Bowdoin College and his MFA from The Yale University School of Art. He has received an honorary degree from Bowdoin College in 1997 and from Lesley University in 2014. He has received a number of awards and grants, including a Guggenheim fellowship in 1994 and an Infinity Award in Art from ICP in 2011. In November 2017, he received a Lucie Award for achievement in fine art. His work has been collected and shown in over seventy other museums in the United States and abroad. Most recently, he had a show at Rose Gallery in Santa Monica, California, featuring his After Constable series.

Jeff Perrott was born in 1966, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He earned his BA from Williams College, and his MFA from Yale School of Art. Perrott has exhibited at Boston Center for the Arts, Krakow Witkin Gallery (Boston, MA), and Morgan Lehman Gallery (New York, NY). He is the winner of the Eben Demerest Fellowship, and was a nominee for the Foster Prize from the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston. His work is featured in both corporate and museum collections such as the Wadsworth Atheneum (Hartford, CT); Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum; the Whitney Museum of Art; and Wellington Management.
David Hilliard received his BFA from MassArt and his MFA from Yale University. He has taught at MassArt, Yale and Harvard University. His work is in the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and the Whitney Museum of American Art. This photograph was made in Provincetown where Hilliard has taught workshops at the Fine Arts Work Center.

John earned his BS in aerospace engineering from the University of Cincinnati and his BFA in painting from MassArt. His work has been exhibited at the Boston University Art Gallery, Circuit 12 Contemporary in Dallas, and Kate Werble Gallery in New York City, and was recently acquired by the Addison Gallery of American Art. In 2016, he opened a gallery in the South End called VERY.

A Boston-based artist, Julie Martini earned her BA in studio art at Carleton College and her MFA at MassArt. She has received residencies at I-Park, the Petrified National Forest, the Women’s Studio Workshop, and the Vermont Studio Center. Julie’s work has been featured in numerous exhibitions, including Feelers at the Boston Center for the Arts’ Mills Gallery, a 2015 solo show at D.E. Shaw in New York, NY, the Walter Feldman Fellowship Finalist Exhibit at the Walter Feldman Gallery in Boston, the Design Science Symposium at RISD, and Flourish at MassArt.
Arne Reimer received his degree in photography from the Art Academy in Leipzig, Germany in 2001 and—with a Fulbright scholarship- his MFA at MassArt in 2005. His new book on record stores in Europe and the United States, entitled Long Play, was published by Koenig publishers in Cologne. A noted contemporary figurative painter, Andrew Stevovich grew up in Washington, D.C., and as a young child was particularly drawn to the Renaissance paintings that would come to inform his work. Stevovich’s images depict ordinary men and women in everyday situations and locations—in restaurants and bars, at the beach, on public transportation— but they convey a sense of mystery, creating more questions than they answer. He works in oil and pastel, and is also an accomplished printmaker and etcher. Stevovich holds degrees from the Rhode Island School of Design and the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and is represented in many public and private collections. His work has been the subject of numerous solo exhibitions across the United States as well as abroad.
Brett Angell received his BFA from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee in 1989 and his MFA in painting in 1991. His work is in the collections of Chazen Museum of Art in Madison, WI, the Springfield Art Museum in Springfield, MO, and the Sioux City Art Center in Sioux City, IA.

Robert Rauschenberg was an American artist whose early work anticipated the pop art movement. He worked in a variety of mediums including painting, sculpture, printmaking and performance. Rauschenberg was awarded the National Medal of Arts in 1993.
Steven Spazuk paints with fire in a technique he refers to as “fumage,” reinventing traditional artistic approaches. Over the past 16 years, Spazuk has refined this skill—creating exquisitely vivid figures and animals from the residue of his candle’s brushstrokes. He has become an internet sensation, and recently was recruited as a sponsored artist by Zippo. The draftsmanship is so remarkable that the works are often mistaken for academic drawings or photography.

Born in 1966 in Honolulu, HI, Malia Jensen received a BFA from the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, OR. Utilizing bronze, plaster, glass and wood, Jensen’s sculptures address a range of subjects derived from dreams, memories and the artist’s fascination with the pathos and comedy inherent in the natural world. Chenli Ye is a photographer from Shanghai. He captures the subjects that are grounded in reality and infused with desire and passion. In the Stillfood series, Ye aims to stimulate people’s curiosity through food we consume everyday. Ye holds a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts from Fordham University and is currently pursuing an MFA degree in photography at MassArt.

Pronzy graduated from MassArt in 2017 with a BFA in illustration. Growing up, he was naive of the multitude of influences the African diaspora had on him as a AfroLatino; but as he grew the complexities that lay within the issues revolving around being black became more apparent. His current work speaks to these complexities, including internal racism to police brutality and rape culture. Andrew Fish is a painter and printmaker who studied at School of Visual Arts in NYC and has attended several artist residencies and workshops. He exhibits internationally and is the recipient of a Somerville Arts Council grant, a NY Studio School Award, a Contemporary Arts CenterWoodside Award, a Distinguished Artist Scholarship from The Art Students League Residency at VYT and the Curators Choice Award from the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition. Fish currently lives in Somerville, MA and is Visiting Lecturer at Massachusetts College of Art and Design and a drawing instructor at Lesley University College of Art and Design in Cambridge, MA. Dean Nimmer is the former chair of MassArt’s 2D department and is now a professor emeritus. In 2015, he received the MA Art Education Association’s Community Teacher of the Year award. Kristin Texeira received her BFA in painting from MassArt in 2010. Robert Ferrandini is one of the most admired painters working in New England. Since a 2001 stroke that deprived him of the use of his right hand, Ferrandini has painted with his left hand, primarily in watercolor, producing increasingly complex works. Jamie Wyeth (b. 1946) is a third-generation artist, distinguished in his own right as a contemporary realist painter. Many of his works reflect the innate beauty of the Maine and Pennsylvania landscape and wildlife or depict important individuals and cultural events in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. However, others are more dramatically Avant-garde, transmitting the artist’s raw response to humanity through cropped and contorted multimedia compositions.
Amelia Hankin received her MFA from RISD. She has exhibited at the 808 Gallery at Boston University, 55 Mercer Gallery, the International Print Center New York, the Xavier University Art Gallery, OH, and many other national venues. In 2005, she received an artist’s travel grant to study eastern woodblock printmaking techniques at Kyoto Seika University. Joo Lee Kang received her BFA in Painting from Duksung Women’s University and her MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts. William Ciccariello received his BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts, Boston in 1978 and has lived and painted in the Boston area since. In September 2016, a solo exhibition of Sultan’s Disaster Paintings began a two-year tour of five American museums, organized by Dr. Marla Price at the Museum of Modern Art in Fort Worth.

Alexi Antoniadis sculpts in steel in crisp, geometric forms that upon investigation reveal that they are cut and painted by hand. The forms speak to sculptural practice from the mid-century but the scale and facture have more quirk and fewer heroics.
Rick Fox is a painter based in southern Maine and is interested in the exploration of physicality and discovery within process. He received his BFA in painting from UMass Amherst and his MFA in painting from MassArt. Fox has also spent time in Italy studying studio art, art history and theory and has studied with George Nick. Doron Putka studied at the Betzalel School of Art in Jerusalem and participated in many workshops given by master painters. She exhibits regularly at The Copley Society of Art and the Concord Center for the Visual Arts. She has received several awards from both.
Susan Gheyssari completed a three-year program in contemporary art at France’s École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in 1987 and studied realism at Tehran’s Petgar Painting Academy in 1987. She is an oil painter who has always had great respect for the old masters of tradition, and that admiration of traditional paintings extends to the realism in her work today. Often inspired by the elegance of ballet, she tries to translate the dancers’ dignity and elegance onto her canvas in order to bring to light their feelings, dreams, and souls.

Amber Tourlentes received her BFA and MFA at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Paul Henry Ramirez is a painter and sculptor who coined term biogeomorphic abstraction to describe his particular mix of hard-edged and figurative abstraction. Karl Stevens is an artist and graphic novelist. His work mixes painting and drawing techniques from the Northern Renaissance with text from contemporary life. This drawing is from a portrait project that focused on himself, his wife, and two friends. Stevens’ published graphic work includes Guilty, Whatever, The Lodger and Failure. His adventures of Penny the cat were an ongoing back cover feature of The Village Voice, a published collection of which is forthcoming.
Deborra Stewart-Pettengill works in a range of media, including sculpture, painting and printmaking. Her work is an ongoing exploration of natural and organic forms that often repeat, overlap and interact to create a tension between movement and stillness. The artist lives and works in western Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire. Receiving an MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University and a BFA from University of South Carolina, she has exhibited work in solo and group shows, both regionally and nationally. She is currently a member of the Oxbow Gallery in Northampton, MA and chairs the Fine Arts Department at the Bement School in Deerfield, MA.

Faith has written and illustrated 18 children’s books and has received over 80 awards and 23 honorary degrees. Lauren Anderson is a current senior at Massachusetts College of Art and Design studying art education and painting. She has recently exhibited in the Green Arts Festival at MassArt. Her most recent body of work has explores the image of the rabbit and how society perceives it.
Jiha Moon explores the multiplicity of 21st-century cultural identities influenced by popular culture, technology, racial perceptions, and folklore. Moon’s references to multiple artistic movements—from ancient calligraphy to abstract expressionism and pop art—are emblematic of the plurality and highly referential nature of contemporary art. After earning a BA in history from the College of Wooster, he spent much of his career in New York City as an editor and book reviewer for magazines. Jaclyn Kain completed the Master of Fine Art in Photography program at the New Hampshire Institute of Art in 2016 and currently teaches photography at Simmons College. Kain’s 2016 series of photographs momentarily suspend the ever-changing and abstract reflections that play on the surface of the water in the Boston Harbor. Negatives are made from the original digital files and contact-printed using the cyanotype process, which involves painting a light-sensitive, two-part chemistry onto an absorbent surface. The print is exposed in the sun and requires only water to develop. Jaclyn Kain is represented by Gallery NAGA in Boston, MA.
Dan Vlahos is a Boston-based designer, artist, and educator. Dan graduated from MassArt in 2000 with a BFA in graphic design, and returned 15 years later to pursue his MFA through MassArt’s Dynamic Media Institute. IMAGINE (aka Sneha Shrestha) is a Nepali artist who paints mindful mantras in her native language and meshes the aesthetics of Sanskrit scriptures with graffiti influences. Yvonne Jacquette is painter and printmaker known for her nocturnal cityscape, landscape, and aerial views. Her interest in cloud formations, weather patterns, and aerial perspective was first sparked during a flight to San Diego in 1969. Julie Levesque attended classes at MassArt after receiving a BFA from SUNY/New Paltz. Recent exhibitions include Clark Gallery, Lincoln, MA; and Rice Polak Gallery, Provincetown, with an upcoming show in July 2018. She has received the Massachusetts Cultural Council Artists Grant and a grant from the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation. Wilson, born in Chicago, educated at Columbia University in NY, and resident of Carrizozo, New Mexico, is a "mixed media" artist creating works that examine women’s identities through a lens of cultural history. She is a Joan Mitchell Foundation Grant recipient and has had residencies at the Fabric Workshop, Philadelphia; Studio Museum Harlem, NY; Giverny Foundation, France; and Doran Artist in Residence at Yale University Art Gallery. She was a visiting artist at MassArt in 2012.

Amy Fink is a 2018 BFA candidate in photography at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Her photographs have been featured in exhibitions by Fort Five Collective, and at various exhibitions at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. She has been published in Center of Vision magazine. She was born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, and currently lives and works in Boston.
In high school, Phillip Jones won a Sears Foundation scholarship to study with Gene Davis each. He then studied at the Corcoran School of Art, Antioch College, and Cooper Union. In 1973, his short film Secrets won numerous awards and was exhibited at the Whitney and Hirschhorn Museums. More recently, Jones has exhibited at the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, Fuller Craft Museum, Boston Athenaeum, Boston Public Library, Boston Center for the Arts, Photographic Resource Center, Garner Center and the Mercury and Anzenberger Galleries. His work is in many collections including the DeCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, the Boston Athenaeum, the Boston Public Library, Fidelity Investments, Goldman Sachs, and The Four Seasons Hotel. Will Nevins-Alderfer received a BA with a focus in metals, and a double major in human development and social relations from Earlham College.
