Impact & Success

MassArt believes in affordable and accessible pathways to learn and develop lifelong artistic and academic skills. Artward Bound students have tremendous opportunities to learn and grow, and have an impact on the program and the wider college community. For many students, Artward Bound is a home away from home. During their four years, they grow comfortable being a part of the MassArt community where they take classes and participate in the life of the college. They make friends, recruit new students, lead events, and help shape the curriculum. They know their voice matters and that gives them the confidence to bring those skills into their college and work experiences. The City of Boston and Mayor Michelle Wu formally recognized the impact and success of Artward Bound and MassArt in the summer of 2022 for their ability to enhance the city through innovation and creative expression.
