10-Year Celebration

In 2008, former MassArt president Kay Sloan had a vision to create pathways for Boston students to access MassArt. After three years of planning, Artward Bound launched with a group of 30 young artists. Since then, over 160 students have come through the program. Artward Bound students cultivate their skills and contribute to shaping the MassArt community to reflect the world we strive to live in.

This booklet celebrates the maturation of the Artward Bound program from a great idea to a national model. We are grateful to everyone who has been part of Artward Bound’s journey, and we look forward to the next 10 years of inspiring the next generation of artists, designers, educators, and entrepreneurs!
