THE ALL SCHOOL SHOW This catalogue represents a selection from the many works of art and design exhibited in the course of the three-week exhibition of the All School Show held at the conclusion of the 2015 academic year. The publication provides a selected, and necessarily limited, number of works from graudating and advancing BFA candidates whose work was both available for reproduction and delivered to accommodate a highly concentrated design and print production schedule.
The All School Show is a long-standing tradition that began more than twenty years ago at MassArt. This exhibition is a student-led exhibition that occurs in more than 7 gallery locations throughout our Huntington Avenue (Avenue of the Arts) campus in Boston. Organization, staffing, and funding for this event are directed entirely by undergraduate students through MassArt's accomplished Student Government Association, SGA.
With support from Student Development, SGA and student leaders run the entire operation-from the call for entries, poster deisgn, and opening night celebration to a juried competition for awards bestowed in the third and final week. The exhibition features work from students from all levels across many disciplines and majors. Student curators from each major are collaboratively responsibile for curation, exhibition design, art preparation, mounting, and opening the three one-week exhibits. A fantastic time to visit the College is during the three weeks in which the All School Show is hung: one can see the quality of conceptual skill, artistic talent, and diversity of the student vision and expression.
