“The simple greetings card is the gift of rememberence and joy and touches the hearts of many” (me).

White Hare and Poppies Materials: watercolour paint/pencils, water soluble graphite crayon, photoshop. Personal Project

Solitary white hare surrounded by red poppies. Original artwork above. Part of the creating process included scratching into the watercolour paper with a large screw to get some texture into the background.

Christmas Snowmen Materials: Acrylic paint, newspaper, pen, photoshop. Personal Works

A series of cards were created for Christmas, using a snowman theme. The main characters and backgrounds were painted using acrylic paint and newspaper trees were cut for each of the images. Penwork was created and the images were finalised in Photoshop.

I have recently started to explore surface pattern. These roses were drawn from still life in nonpermanent pen and then water was brushed on to add more interest.

Seeds Materials: Pen, photoshop. Personal Works

Inspired by poppy seed heads. Single drawings were scanned into Photoshop and arranged to form this surface pattern.

Perfume Bottles Materials: Pen, photoshop. Personal Works

This repeat pattern design was inspired by frothy sea foam.

Mushrooms Materials: Pen, brush and water, photoshop. Personal Works

Inspired by woodland and patterns in nature.

Townscape Materials: Pen, photoshop. Personal Works

Inspired by the tall city buildings. A multiply layer was added and a mask to bring back the white windows and doors.
