This month Leo, our crazy T.V. guru gives us a few insights on a few new soon to be hit shows. Shooting Sizemore, part of VH1’s “Celebreality Series” and I’m From Rolling Stone, Mtv’s visual diary of 6 people complete immersed in the world of Rolling Stone.

Shooting Sizemore Because VH1 can’t get enough of f****d-up celebrities on reality shows...now comes “Shooting Sizemore” about actor Tom Sizemore and his struggles with drugs. For last 15 years, Tom Sizemore has led an A-List life, acting in critically acclaimed films with top directors such as Steven Spielberg, Oliver Stone, and Ridley Scott. Tom enjoyed red-carpet respect everywhere he went, and his enormous success bought him a Hollywood Hills mansion and access to non--stop wild par-

8

ties filled with Hollywood’s hottest. But underneath the A-list glamour, Tom’s life was combusting into a scandal-ridden and narcotic-riddled fireball. Tom hit rock bottom when his methamphetamine and heroin addiction led to a burnout bankruptcy. Within a matter of months he lost his cherished mansion and was slapped with a battery charge filed by his former girlfriend “Hollywood Madam” Heidi Fleiss (a charge Tom vehemently denies). His ensuing unpredictable, chaotic behavior made him too risky to cast for Hollywood filmmakers. Virtually unemployable and off the radar, Tom began to film himself night and day, using a small handheld camera. Tom tries to put his life back together as he exits rehab, faces a hardnosed prosecutor eager to put him away for battery, and takes a job in an ultra low-budget Canadian horror movie--his first sober acting gig in years. Interspersed in the documentary footage are pointed, judicious flashbacks of Tom’s own never-before-seen personal

footage spanning the last few years -- filming himself on drugs, succumbing to bouts of terrifying paranoia and rage. This black-and-white, grainy handheld footage is a searingly voyeuristic look into Tom Sizemore’s innermost thoughts and fears, giving the viewer a graphic visual depiction of his drug-fueled downfall. As each setback and challenge unfolds onscreen, you will come to know a man who has a forceful determination to live again. He is a man on a mission to be accepted by his peers while he attempts to climb back to the upper echelon of his craft. Most importantly, you will be witness to all the anguish, doubts, arguments, outbursts, and blunt, honest self-reflection it takes for a celebrity to kick addiction and get their life back on track.

I’m From RollingStone MTV will be premiering the New Show “I’m From RollingStone” which is a reality TV show about six people being followed for the 10 weeks immersed in the world of the magazine. Taking on Jobs like working the red carpet at Jay-Zs tenth-anniversary concert for Reasonable Doubt to investigate reporting on the nations worst polluters. RollingStone is one of my Personal Fav. Magazines & is acutely one of my dream jobs, (next to working for HIGH TIMES) So I really don’t think any of these people deserve to work for this magazine more then LEONARDO J. KRAYOLA. -Leo Krayola

What a frickin’ Gilmour Intro. Which isn’t a bad way to start the album off, but this isn’t a Pink Floyd album. The studio sound of this album bleeds the production of the 80’s. So far nothing has grabbed me by the boo-boo. Hearing the “click” on my tape deck was probably the most exciting thing about side A. Giving Yourself Away is actually the best song on this album it’s probably the only one that isn’t over produced. This is no treasure in the vault. 99% of this album sucked. It’s just another RATT caught in the TRAPP. Hahaha. I’m a genius!

Cheesy metal alert!!!

Everything I make I give it a name, I have a skirt that is called “Pussycat Pencil Skirt” or the Hell Kitten halter Top”. (laughs) Sometime my mom will come in and give me a hand. She taught me everything I know. I also have a dress called the “Dress to Thrill”. It’s a dress that shows off your cleavage. You need cleavage for this dress.

We here at Mag-X have no fashion sense, honest. We still work the baby blue ruffled tuxedo from our senior prom! So we sat down with Deb, owner of Hissy Fit Drag Strip Clothing to give us some fashion Do’s. On with the interview…. Mag-X: Thank you for taking the time to have this interview with us. DSHF: My pleasure. Mag-X: Why this style? Why Rockabilly? DSHF: Well the scene (rockabilly) started out of the punk scene. I’ve always loved the look, but was paying too much for it. Plus I have a small waist, so I had to alter the clothing, Therefore, I decided to start my own line. Mag-X: How long have you been designing? DSHF: Been sowing since 8 years old. My first piece was a motorcycle jacket for my Gumby. (laughs) still have that doll. I’ve been selling mystuff on E-bay and now locally at Underworld Bou-

13

tique. Mag-X: You started on E-bay? DSHF: Yes, but after awhile they were charging too much, so I decided to start my own thing. Mag-X: And that would be “Dragstrip Hissyfit Clothing”? Cool name, where did it come from? DSHF: It comes from the fashion of the 50’s, bad-girl look, the type of girl who wants to hang with the Drakes. The girls hanging out at the drag strips, The hissy fit because you make so many fits when you can’t decide what to wear. (laughs). Our slogan is “the tighter the better.” Mag-X: and you have

wants!!! Mag-X: Where can we find your clothing?

DSHF: La, NY, UK & Australia. Also Danni’s underworld Boutique has esclusive rights to carry my line. Mag-X: No clothing for the guys? DSHF: Danni’s guys will get all custom made stuff for Dr. Power’s. Mag-X: very cool, Mag-X: ok. Well everyone knows we love music, gots

Artist Profile

Chris “Flashballs” De Leon misconceptions do you think people have of tattoos? Chris: People tend to be scared of the pain that might come out of a tattoo, but no ones ever cried or died from getting a tattoo, so don’t fear the needle! Mag-X: How many tattoos do you, yourself have? Chris: Hmm... about 16 or so, not a whole lot but just enough to be noticed while I’m naked! Mag-X: Of the tats which one was your first?

Mag-X: How did you go about becoming a tattoo artist? Chris: I basically got sucked into it. As soon as I got my first one, I couldn’t get over how great it would be if I tried tatooing. Everyday I learn something new while being a tattoo artist. Mag-X: What made you want to do it? Chris: Just the idea of using your art skills on someone’s skin was enough for me. Mag-X: From where do you draw inspiration for

18

your artwork? Chris: I usually get inspired by other artists that strike my fancy and music lets me zone into the drawing mood. Mag-X: Do you prefer to do your own designs or do you like working on what other people bring in? Chris: Custom work is done here a lot, almost more than anything, but I will do just about anything someone brings me. I don’t really condone getting stupid tats but, I’ll do it! Mag-X: What common

Chris: I was 18, and I got a comic book characted named Johnny the homicadal maniac) on my left leg, here at the shop. Mag-X: Do you have a favorite? Chris: I have a great pinup girl done on the inside of my left arm that my co-worker Eloy “Creep” Gomez did and it’s awesome! Mag-X: Who’s your favorite artist? Chris: Dean Neagle, he does a lot of cartoon for Playboy and has done a lot for me as far as inspiration. Dave Fox is my favorite tatoo artist because of his crazy style that involves a lot of color.

Mag-X: What do you like to listen to while tattooing? Chris: Most of the time it’s good ‘ol metal, it puts me in the mood even when I’m doing butterflies or flowers. Mag-X: What advice would you give to people contemplating getting a tattoo? Chris: Don’t tattoo your boyfriend’s or girlfriend’s name on you. That’s the stupidest thing you can put your skin at risk with, also think about the years to come if you’re going to be happy with the tattoo you are thinking of getting. Mag-X: Which style of tattooing is your favorite? Chris: The one style that I love would have to be “new school” just becaus I love “color bombing” whcih basi-

cally involves a lot of combinations of colors that let me have fun with a tattoo. Mag-X:: Any last words? Chris: If anyone wants to get tattooed or pierced, we can be reached at 956.287.9777 or myspace.com/flamingheartink, we do a lot of other art projects in case anyone is looking for art pieces other than tattooing. Our portfolios can be seen online or here at the shop. Rock on and get inked!!!
