e live in a Global village and are constantly under scrutiny. Society tries in so many ways to extinguish the light within us. People feel threatened when individuals such as you and I break away from the norm. That’s the reason why society will do anything and everything to impede your potential because it would kill them to VHH \RX OLYLQJ \RXU GUHDPV D VWDUN UHPLQGHU RI WKHLU ODFN RI FRXUDJH Society will downplay your success in order to limit your potential and by doing so will make them feel better about themselves because of the deep imbedded dreams that they have deferred. They are nothing more than a group of individuals who are insecure and thus limit you in order to justify to themselves why they never took certain risks. They are known as the Ink Prophets Art Society. he Ink Prophets Art Society is a newly initiated structure which provides an exWUD PXUDO IRU LWV PHPEHUV LQ WKH IRUP RI DUW These arts currently include poetry and muVLF 7KH VWUXFWXUH LV ORRNLQJ WR JURZ RYHUODSping into drama and comedy scene as well as possibly enhance its music sector. The society is still growing and therefore needs more work and exposure. RPSULVHG RI D IHZ PHPEHUV WKH ,QN Prophets are fast growing and are slowly gaining momentum for their recognition. Currently they have more than 1000 likes on their facebook page. The society is active on social networks and looking to broaden their reach in this spectrum. Ink Prophets is also planning to be more active throughout the course of the year with performances in FROODERUDWLRQ ZLWK RWKHU DI¿OLDWHG DQG NQRZQ structures of UWC. Being a fresher at university can be a very daunting experience and a very huge adjustment. For some it’s a walk in a park and for some it’s the best experience of their lives they don’t want to repeat in their lives. There’s no doubt that most people often have losing weight as part of their new year’s resolutions and the Nike Fly Run provided for just that. Nike in association with the University of Witwatersrand hosted the fun run on the 6th of February as part of Orientation Week.
