As Chair of the Commission on the Status of Women, Lori crafted a citywide plan that would make Berkeley a model city in efforts to eradicate sexual trafficking. She is currently working on a “Status of Women” report for the City.

Lori Droste is a proud 17 year resident of District 8. Lori lives with her wife and children in the Elmwood District.

As a member of the Housing Advisory Commission, Lori works to expand the amount of affordable housing in Berkeley.

As Vice-Chair of the Alameda Human Relations Commission, Lori met with disaster safety experts and created a plan to work with at-risk communities on emergency preparedness.

Lori worked with local transportation executives to improve their study of women’s under-representation in the transportation services industry. She was the principal author of the 2012 Bay Area WTS Glass Ceiling Report.
