A Lebanon Valley College journey doesn’t always begin on our campus. Every year, dozens of students choose to transfer in from community colleges and other institutions. Like any other LVC student, transfers are eligible for scholarships and financial aid. And also like any other student, they are warmly welcomed to our community.
Why transfer to LVC? No matter where you started college, Lebanon Valley is a great place to finish. Our first-rate academic programs, strong reputation, and outstanding career preparation make a degree from LVC a valuable one—whatever your major or career goals.

Admission Process
Transfer students may apply to enter Lebanon Valley in either the fall or spring semester.
All transfer applicants are strongly encouraged to visit campus to meet with the admission transfer counselor. Applicants should bring their transcripts for review.
Our application process is rolling, and offers of admission are made on a competitive basis due to limited space. We encourage completed applications by March 1 for fall admission. Candidates interested in the spring semester, which starts in mid-January, are encouraged to complete applications as soon as possible.
Requirements • Applicants to any of the music majors must schedule an audition. • Students applying from community college should be enrolled in transferable programs instead of terminal programs. • Transfer students may not apply to athletic training or physical therapy.

To ensure a smooth admission process, please submit the following: • A completed Common Application No application fee is required for submission of the Common Application to LVC. • Official high school transcripts and transcripts from all previously attended colleges and universities • A College Record Form One copy must be completed for each college and university attended. The form can be downloaded from our website: www.lvc.edu/admission. Once we have received your completed application, we will evaluate your file. If you are accepted to LVC, our registrar will officially evaluate your transcript(s) to determine how many credits you will be able to transfer.

DUAL ADMISSION PROGRAM
Many LVC students begin college at one of the Harrisburg Area Community College campuses, knowing from the start that they will finish their degree at LVC. What Is the Dual Admission Program? The Dual Admission Program combines the resources of two regionally recognized institutions, Lebanon Valley College and Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC), in a program that leads to the bachelor’s degree. Students choose this route for a number of reasons—often to save money or to live closer to home for the first few years of college. As members of the program, they are LVC students from day one (with full access to LVC campus facilities) and graduate with an LVC degree.
Applying When to Apply You may apply for the Dual Admission Program at various stages during your educational career: • During your senior year of high school, after you have applied to HACC • After admission to HACC • As a HACC student, before you have completed 30 transferable credits
How to Apply 1. Set up a meeting with your HACC advisor to go over the application. 2. Complete the Dual Admission Application before you complete 30 transferable credits. 3. Complete an LVC admission application six to nine months prior to the term in which you intend to enroll at LVC. As a Dual Admission participant, your application fee will be waived. The Dual Admission Application is available at all HACC campuses in their Transfer Services Office and at LVC’s Office of Admission.

FINANCIAL AID FOR TRANSFER STUDENTS
We are committed to making an LVC education available to students from all financial backgrounds. Like other applicants, transfer students are considered for academic scholarships and need-based financial aid. Merit-Based Aid Phi Theta Kappa Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society members and high-achieving transfer students will be considered for merit scholarships. Determining factors will include college GPA and strength of program, number of credits eligible for transfer, and intended major. Scholarship recipients must be enrolled full time. Academic Scholarships Students who transfer 16 credits or more to LVC and who are not in Phi Theta Kappa will be considered for scholarships on the basis of their college GPA and strength of program, number of credits eligible for transfer, and intended major. Scholarship amounts vary based on the strength of an applicant’s academic record and are renewable for a pre-determined number of semesters. Scholarship
recipients must be enrolled full time and maintain a minimum GPA (dependent on the scholarship amount).
Need-Based Aid To determine their eligibility for needbased financial aid, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). LVC’s Federal School code for the FAFSA is 003288. Be sure to submit the FAFSA by March 1 if you plan to enroll in the fall, or by November 1 if you plan to enroll in the spring.

of 2013 graduates who responded to our annual survey were either employed or attending graduate school within six months of graduation.
TRANSFER ADVISING AND SUPPORT
LVC is more than just a college. We’re also a community that takes care of our own. To make sure transfer students have the resources they need to thrive, we offer special advising and orientation opportunities. Transfer Advising Day
Academic Advisors
Every July, we invite incoming transfer students and their parents to campus for a day-long introduction to life and academics at LVC. Parents meet the director of financial aid and the student affairs staff. Students get to know their future classmates and sit down for a one-on-one planning session with their academic advisors.
Every LVC student has an academic advisor to help select courses, identify co-curricular opportunities (such as research or internships), and plan for life after graduation. Transfer students are introduced to their advisors during Transfer Advising Day, meet with them again during Transfer Orientation, and remain in close contact throughout the rest of their time at LVC.
Transfer Orientation In August, transfer students come to campus for a few days of orientation— so they can get comfortable in their new home before classes start. In addition to taking care of some basics (getting room keys and ID cards), new students use this time to meet with faculty, administrators, resident assistants, transfer peer mentors, and academic advisors (to review course selection for the coming semester). Orientation is part business but mostly fun—with plenty of meals, performances, social events, and even an afternoon of group community service.
Transfer Peer Mentors To ease the transition to life and academics at LVC, incoming transfer students are assigned to a group of approximately 15–20 students (who more than likely share the same major). Each group is led by a Peer Mentor, an upperclass student who helps familiarize new students with LVC’s culture, resources, and community.
