Further Guidance. More Confidence.

As a student and even a graduate, you can come to the Breen Center for Graduate Success for soft skills training, one-to-one coaching and mentoring, internship opportunities, résumé building, mock interviewing, and leadership development.

Economics major Andrew Tung ’21 knew a summer internship would be a high-impact experience critical for his career preparation. He started the internship search process by preparing his résumé and cover letter with the assistance of the Breen Center staff. When his original internship was canceled due to COVID-19, Tung found a sales and marketing internship with Greek House, an Inc. 5000 apparel company.

The Breen Center staff were always welcoming and patient while guiding me through the process of marketing myself to employers. I cannot express how lucky I felt to have received this internship, and how grateful I am for their help.

Valuable support from the Steven K. and Wendie DiMatteo Holsinger Internship Fund—administered by the Breen Center—made Maya Cohen’s ’21 (biology major) internship at Fox Chase Cancer Center Epigenetics Lab in Philadelphia possible. Her primary responsibilities included imaging various cell types and treatments under the microscope and observing morphological differences.

At Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, business administration and economics major Lucas Cappelli ’21 worked as a merchandise auditor intern to manage over/short reports from the previous day for all the stores, conduct random audits on the associates, and overlook the stores’ cash-handling activity using various information systems.
