Why Lead Is Used in Wires The global production of lead began around 3000 BC. First extensive use of this element was witnessed during the Roman Empire. Because of its slightly sweet taste and smell Roman used lead containers to store it, and even some other additives to preserve it. It was also used for making lead pipes for water supply throughout the nation. However, with the fall of the empire, use of lead had faded away from the practice, but only for time being. With large lead mines opening in Greece and Spain, the world wide redistribution of this non-metal has grown very much.

In modern era, due to its user friendly applications, it has is being used in a variety of occupations. Lead has been widely used for the manufacture of paints, gasoline, PVC plastics, and childcare's products and for soldering purposes.

However, it has one major flaw. It is precisely a poisonous element that causes poisoning and often leads to death. Due to this negative factor, usage of lead in these fields has been restricted.

This however did not prevent this element from rising into its former glory. Till date it is the most widely used element precisely for the manufacture of wires.

Lead in wires are mainly used for application in harness fabrications, automobiles, heating and cooling equipment, internal wiring of a computer, etc. due to its high flexibility, it can be used for even manufacturing high voltage wires.

These days, lead cables and wires are used in almost all electrical equipments. It being safe and easily available safe, leads are the first preferences for all types of electrical wiring in commercial as well as residential buildings.

Thus Lead in wire manufacture is extensively used for making of resistors, capacitors, diodes and stimulators. With more globalization and urbanization these days lead wire productions have exceeded its production charts from the past decade. Due to these extra demand and safe technology, lead in wire exporters is meeting all their ends in a tight circle.

Caps for lamps are also in huge demand due to again, urbanization. You would basically find usage of lead for the making of these caps as it has high voltage durability and thus gives you more intensity of light at lower cost price. Due to its large elasticity and ozone friendly technology exporters have switched over to this element for the production of wires and of course caps in lamps.

Now, switching over to ferrous and nonferrous wires, it is worth mention that they are widely in use in the automobile industry these days. Latest technology and innovative methods have put together years of experience to get the best out of these alloy and non alloy wires. These are very much user friendly because they meet all international standards before being launched into the global open market. Looking into further details, you would find an ocean of information and amazing facts ranging from lead wires to alloy wires and plated wires that have framed our history and connected the past with our tomorrow.
