PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, PALAWAN A simple yet elegant single-story residential building featuring two bedrooms, including a master bedroom with an attached toilet and bath. This modern contemporary dwelling is characterized by its sleek design, dominated by dark colors and touches of wood. The design emphasizes an open-plan layout connecting the living room, dining area, and kitchen, promoting a seamless and spacious feel. Adding to the appeal is a private entertainment room strategically placed to isolate sound from speakers and televisions in the living area, creating a serene atmosphere that complements the overall ambiance of the project. This smart layout ensures comfort and practicality. Bedrooms are on the east side, keeping them cool from the hot southwestern sun. Wet areas like the powder room and kitchen are on the west for better water absorption, promoting cleanliness and reducing bacteria. This design not only makes the living space comfortable but also prioritizes health and functionality.
The figure shows the connection of indoor and outdoor space, extending our home and letting in a constant breeze. This design creates a direct link to nature, making our living area feel open and dynamic. It’s a simple way to blend indoor and outdoor living, bringing freshness into our home and harmonizing with the environment.

AQUAVISTA RESORT EL NIDO, PALAWAN
Aqua Vista Resort is a semi-private residential resort located in the beautiful municipality of El Nido, Palawan. Owned by an international client, the project entails the design of a retiring home featuring a public lounge with a mini restaurant and seven rooms with private bathrooms on the ground level. The upper level is designated as a private space for the owner.

Sketchup, Lumion, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom Located on the top of the hill, the building makes the most of its elevated spot, providing stunning views of the gorgeous Palawan ocean. The design includes an infinity pool, and the basement holds utility rooms and staff quarters. The main goal is to offer users a fantastic panoramic view of the ocean, letting them enjoy a new perspective each year right from their beds.v page 4

The challenge in creating the project arises from the topographic conditions of the site. The hill is too high, making it difficult to build a large structure. Consequently, I decided to cut the highest portion of the hill and fill the lower areas to create a smooth surface for landscaping. Additionally, I added a basement level as requested by the owner, providing additional space for utility and maintenance operations.

The planning of this project reflects our commitment to harmonizing modern living with stringent safety measures, ensuring a secure and comfortable environment for future residents.
