Welcome to the Eighth Annual Place Your Bet Bull Sale. We’ve seen high prices on steers and heifers at the market this spring and if that is any reflection on our upcoming cattle market, the news is good! Young people are buying into cattle and taking over family farms and that is exciting for our industry! We are excited for the spring of 2014 and look forward to embracing with our customers! If you are looking for red, black, or bauldy’s, heifer bull or herd sire we have what you are looking for! The cattle producer has to be flexible to our customers and raise what they are looking for in a herd sire to give them the consistency and reliability of what the industry needs. We strive to provide bulls that provide a combination of all traits from calving ease, maternal and performance. We’ve got a solid group of bulls that combine those traits you are looking for. These boys will add pounds, a combination of maternal traits, calving ease and put money in the bank next fall. If you’re looking for a bull to fit in your a commercial or purebred program, Veteran is the place to be on March 9, 2014. All bulls are semen tested and sound by vet inspection prior to the sale. Insurance is available the day of the sale. Bulls will be previewed prior to the sale, but feel free to stop in for coffee and a visit on the farm to have a look before hand. A stand out calf from the beginning, red dawn has always been a favourite. From his stand out dam being a top producer and having our best bred heifer in the fall that sold in the headliner sale to Jodi Hampton. His sire Payout was a many time champion show bull as well as a staple in our heard from sons and daughters that have worked very well for us. Red Dawn is as solid and correct of bull we’ve raised to date not many bulls compare with the amount of thickness he has to the clean front end and sound structure, as he displays. Red Dawn was third in class at Lloydd stockade to the two champion bulls and third overall Simmental in the legends of the fall show as well as a class winner in the open show at farm fair. We think so much of Red Dawn we would like to retain an in herd semen interest. Will be homo polled tested.

Same cow family as 2A this guy is the heaviest bull we have weighing just shy of 1200 lbs at the end of October at stockade roundup where he was third in class. Part of our bull congress show team as well this guy is big time performance. Payday really bred consistency for us as all the black show cattle at farm fair for us were sired by payday. Revolvers dam 2U has been one of the best if not the best producing angus cow for us raising the $11,500 pure gold which topped our sale last year to Nielson Land and Cattle of Craik Sk.
