Roots & Wings Collection Almost eleven years ago to the day my creating started becoming a business. It started at a holiday craft fair and has expanded into the most beautiful areas of my passions and creativity. So many trips to collect treasures and inspiration, so many soft goods sewn and sold, so many opportunities to connect with other women through teaching and speaking and so many ways that I have been able to share my love of gathering and home. It has been such a beautiful and unexpected journey. What we create today may look different than it did eleven years ago but we have not stopped creating in all that time. We also forgot a few times along the way, as we had our heads down building this business, that simple and beautiful always wins. We named this collection Roots and Wings because we need both
and you have shown us that. This collection has a few items that were a staple in our growing and building years and it only seems fitting to bring a limited amount back to celebrate where we are now and where we came from. We are also re-launching our lookbooks because offering collections of our vintage treasures, art, jewelry, bags and art supplies changed everything and seeing them together always tells a story. Thank you for the past eleven years and may we all surround ourselves with passions and people that give us both roots and wings.

These watercolor paints have a natural beautiful granulation and can be layered from thick to thin. The Sodalite gemstone paint is translucent adding a beautiful mineral wash overlay to your watercolor art. Each pan is hand poured to exacting traditional recipes and techniques using the highest quality earth pigments, and natural watercolor binding medium made from distilled water, honey, glycerine, and the sap of acacia trees. Made by hand in Colorado using American made materials, leather from Chicago, Martexin waxed canvas from New Jersey and hand-set copper rivets. This bag is cut, punched, stitched THE ART RUCKSACK
and finished by hand. Each piece has exquisite attention to detail.

The heart of The Living Studio is that we will all learn to explore and create wherever we live. To step out of the comfort of our studios, out into the world and boldly create based on the beauty all around us. How many times over the years have you ever walked past a person sketching in an art museum, painting in the gardens, practicing their watercolors in the mountains or writing at a cafe and have stopped a moment to envy them? They were doing it! They HAD to be creative. It is a practice and a preparedness that motivates us to create our studio wherever we go.
