Supplementary materials for using the Restoring Ecological Health to Your Land book series for academic and applied courses. The three books, Restoring Ecological Health to Your Land, The Restoring Ecological Health to Your Land Workbook, and Nature’s Second Chance (Beacon Press) all have supplementary materials available from the authors as follows:

Overview of Available Educational and Restoration Practitioner Supplementary Materials 1. Primer – Ecosystems past and present—is a ppt show that provides an overview of the plight of most ecosystems on earth; how they are changing and the cascading impacts on climate health, human health, and diversity of life on earth. The show also provides on the ground examples of restoration at myriad scales and settings to show how the principles and step by step restoration process illustrated in the Restoring Ecological Health book series have been applied successfully. 2. Chapter by chapter ppt shows and video’s—that focus in on each of the ecosystem with a more detailed expose’ of ecosystem decline and change. And restoration examples that the authors and colleagues have successfully undertaken. 3. For the book, Nature’s Second Chance, very detailed ppt presentations revealing the process and surprising responses of the former derelict dairy farm that has been restored to diverse lush and beautify prairies, wetlands, oak savannas, and a headwater trout stream.


Overview of Educational Forums and Partnering Opportunities to Team The authors of the above books have extensive, distinguished careers as educators, researchers, and ecosystem restoration practitioners—design through installation and long‐term operations and maintenance. Apfelbaum and Haney have taught at various Universities (University of WI, Harvard, University of IL, etc.) and co‐taught courses and lectured at dozens of universities and other research institutions around the USA and the world.
