WE are LISTENING Dear athlete, Over the past 12 months we have become as diverse as our race locations, which now reach from Scandinavia to South Africa. More importantly, though, we listened and grew as a company through the feedback of people like you: mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers who routinely brave the elements and challenges of everyday life to train, prepare and finally race. More than 50,000 of you did so over the past year, making it the most successful in the history of IRONMAN Europe as we sold out a majority of our races. We took notice that a lot of you were looking for a complete guide to the IRONMAN season in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Here it is. Moving forward, I hope this calendar will help you decide where you will race in 2014. As you know we added a number of new race locations to our schedule, including:

• Budapest: Hungary’s capital and a city full of history

• Ruegen: a picture-perfect German island

• Mallorca: a second race on the beautiful island and a late-season full-distance IRONMAN.

• Challenge Kraichgau: already a triathlon hotspot

What I am looking forward to most however, is meeting all of you. Seeing you cross the finish line and enjoying the moment you worked for months, or even years, to achieve, fills me and everyone working for IRONMAN, with joy and pride.
