This new A3 Refrigerant Awareness course is designed to give you the understanding of how to deal with highly flammable A3 refrigerants.

Unlike the move from R410A to R32, the installation of A3 refrigerant based systems brings a complex set of new challenges. O

ur previous Flammables course has been redeveloped and made fit for purpose and is now being released back to the industry as “A3 Refrigerant Awareness”.

It is estimated that there are approx. 7,000 registered as having an Approved Fillers License which considers you to have basic entry-level skills.

The RLNZ A1 and A2L Approved Filler courses provide a practical assessment of your skills, just like a drivers license. If you have an existing Fillers license, RLNZ strongly recommends you complete and pass the A1 and A2L Approved Filler Courses with a practical assessment, prior to A3 Refrigerant Awareness.

There will be a practical assessment for A3 once equipment is readily available in New Zealand.

The theory fundamentals contained in the A1 and A2L support and grow on your knowledge in preparation for learning in the A3 course.
