Motorbikes are the leading mode of transportation in 3rd world countries. They are also a major source of pollution. Our mission is to save motorbike tires from the landfills and give them new life as comfortable and fashionable footwear. All materials are sourced from the islands of Indonesia. The motorbike tires we use are salvaged directly from landfills. The soles are “Raw� cut from motorbike tires and left in their unprocessed form. There are no fuel powered machines used in the production process of IndoSole, just strong hands and minds. We hope our sandals inspire you on many levels. When you wear them you will be reminded that you are doing your part to help reduce consumption and waste in the world. Your purchase of IndoSole products helps reduce the size of landfills, while supporting skilled artisans and their families in a 3rd world country.
These tires have traveled thousands of miles on the streets of Bali. Each tire is salvaged from a landfill.
The tires are then hand cut into 4 pieces to make 2 pair from each tire.
IndoSole’s factories give Balinese craftsmen jobs and provide opportunity for their families.
