As you age, collagen fibers in these layers stretch and lose their elasticity, causing skin to sag. Your body also loses its ability to produce new collagen.
What does Thermage do? • Thermage is a deep heating technology that uses radiofrequency to heat the skin. • The heat helps regenerate collagen fibers that have become loose and stretched out with age. • The heat also stimulates new collagen growth to make your skin feel thicker and smoother over time.
The Thermage Procedure How does it work? • The tip on the device’s handpiece is pressed gently against your skin to deliver a pulse of radio frequency (RF) energy. • The tip cools and protects the epidermis while the energy penetrates deep into the skin to heat collagen fibers in the dermis and subcutaneous tissue. • A temporary grid is applied to your face to help guide the technician where to treat; it is removed immediately after the procedure.
Does it hurt? • When you feel the heat, you may experience some discomfort. - Heat is absolutely essential to tighten the collagen and stimulate new collagen growth. If you don’t feel the heat, the procedure isn’t working. - Together, we will find a heat level you can tolerate to minimize discomfort and achieve optimal results. • To reduce the heat sensation, the tip has built-in cooling that is sprayed evenly over the surface of the skin. • The handpiece vibrates during the radiofrequency pulse, which is proven to reduce discomfort.
Is it safe? Thermage is a safe, non-invasive procedure with a 99.8% safety record. Potential side effects are generally mild and may include: • Redness • Swelling • Blisters • Bumps • Rare instances of surface irregularities Most side effects resolve without complication.
What Will I Look Like After The Procedure? • You should feel no pain or discomfort after the procedure. You may experience redness that will resolve within an hour or so, or slight swelling that will disappear within the day. • You will be able to put on your make-up and continue your skincare regimen immediately after treatment. • You should have a set of “After” photos taken so that you can see your immediate changes and how they improve over time.

Thermage Results What do the results look like?
Will I look like I’ve had surgery?
• The effect is natural. At first, you may be the only one to notice the change. Your family and friends may remark that you look rested, or ask if you’ve lost weight.
• Thermage does not offer the dramatic results of surgery.
• As your skin improves over time, the changes will be gradual. You’ll see your full results at approximately 6 months.
How long do the results last?
• We recommend you have good Before & After photos taken, so that you can see the progression.
