ou've got to be light on your feet to keep up with Travis Rice. Just ask Rafal Gerszak, the Vancouverbased photojournalist who spent hour after hour on Highway 99 trailing the superstar snowboarder on the Canadian leg of The Art of Flight world tour for the cover of HUCK #029. Having driven up to Whistler from his Vancouver home, Gerszak found himself being ushered onto a tour bus, only to head straight back down to the city for the next sold-out premiere. An impromptu pit-stop at the Squamish home of pro rider DCP provided the perfect opportunity for a little skate break along the w a y, a n d a r a r e c h a n c e t o c a p t u r e s o m e m u c h n e e d e d d o w n t i m e d u r i n g a w h i r l w i n d t o u r. T h e result is a snapshot of what life is like when you're always on the go. Here's some of the good stuff that never made it into the mag.
