SM President Dr. Martha Saunders hosted a Welcome Reception for this year’s Mississippi Miss Hospitality contestants at her home. Twenty-nine young ladies spent a week touring and visiting in the Hub City, doing community service and visiting hospital patients. Bostick competed at the Miss America Outstanding Teen Pageant in Orlando, Fla., recently. Bostick, a junior at Oak Grove High School, entered the competition as Miss Leaf River Valley Outstanding Teen. The Miss America's Outstanding Teen is a little sister to Miss America. Her pageant platform for the pageant was "Eyes of Love," a non-profit ministry she organized that collects eye glasses for people in Nigeria. Bostick is the daughter of Jon and Angela Bostick.
