Seven Dwarfs Mine Train: A Rocking, Rollicking Family

T

he lovable world of Sleepy, Doc, Grumpy, Bashful, Sneezy, Happy and Dopey comes excitingly to life May 28, 2014 when the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train takes New Fantasyland guests on a rollicking, musical adventure into the mine “where a million diamonds shine.” The “crowning jewel” of New Fantasyland, the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train represents the completion of the largest expansion in Magic Kingdom history. The family-style coaster features first-of-its-kind ride vehicles that swing back and forth during the ride. Adding to the fun, the journey will be accompanied by music from the film classic and scenes filled with Snow White, the Seven Dwarfs and playful forest critters.

Inspired by the Disney animated film classic “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” the story begins as guests cross a stone bridge and walk through a beautiful forest with the Dwarfs’ cottage in the distance. Then, they step into the attraction entrance and into the timeless story of the radiant and kindhearted Snow White and her forest friends led by the lovable Dwarfs. When designing the cottage, Walt Disney Imagineers – the creative team behind all the attractions at Disney Parks – referenced the film in order to plan details as intricate as the color combination of roof shingles, the slope of the roof’s eaves, the shape of a lantern, and especially the etched woodland creatures that decorate the house. Props – including lanterns, ropes, pulleys and buckets of shiny jewels – were inspired by items found in the mine scenes of the film. According to Walt Disney Imagineering, jewels appear throughout the mine in four different sizes and in six different colors: red, green, amber, purple, blue and clear.

and sorting gems – guests will proceed to the mine train. Picks, shovels, barrels and hoists are scattered throughout the queue tunnel and at the load-in area. “Rocks” ‘n’ Roll Guests board the specially-designed mine cars and launch into their journey through the mine. Each “train” consists of five mine cars, which seat four guests each. The individual mine cars are designed to reflect similar vehicles that appear in the film, hand-made of wood by the Dwarfs, shaped by an axe, and used to haul rocks and jewels. As guests twist and turn through the mine, the cars rock back and forth, adding an extra family-friendly thrill element. Riders tour through the cavernous mine’s winding track – jutting outside to climb and dip through the wooded landscape, and then re-entering the mine at different points in the attraction.

As with any classic Disney “dark ride,” the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train features spectacular Audio-Animatronics – with cars slowing down so guests can spot favorite characters making After passing through an an appearance in different interactive pre-show area scenes. with fun activities themed to mining – such as washing

Friendly Roller Coaster Crowns New Fantasyland

New Fantasyland Representing the largest expansion in the nearly-43-year history of Magic Kingdom, the spectacular new space features attractions, dining, shopping, character interactions, recreation and more – laid out fairy tale-style amid waterfalls, grottoes, arched bridges, forests and circus big tops. A multiyear expansion project, New Fantasyland lies just beyond the existing Fantasyland in the shadows of Cinderella Castle. New Fantasyland comprises the Enchanted Forest and Storybook Circus areas. Walt Disney Imagineers brought to life beloved Disney stories and magical places, putting guests in the middle of Disney classics and new favorites – and making memories to last a lifetime. Guests are transported to a far-off French village to spend time with Belle and play a part in her story. They hop aboard a clamshell to venture deep into the undersea world of Ariel, take a rollicking coaster ride to barnstorm with the Great Goofini or spin through the sky with everyone’s favorite pachyderm – Dumbo, the Flying Elephant. Kids can take a cooling break among the circus wagons at the Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station where monkeys, elephants and camels squirt water and even Casey Jr. spouts clouds of mist. Shopping delights await at Bonjour! Village Gifts and Big Top Souvenirs. When the hungries hit, guests are able to choose everything from on-the-go eats washed down with LeFou’s Brew — a signature drink, at the quick-service Gaston’s Tavern — to elegant ballroom dining at Be Our Guest restaurant, nestled under the stars in Beast’s Castle. Opened in Fall 2013, Princess Fairytale Hall is the new regal home to Disney Princesses greeting their loyal subjects. Not only does Fantasyland double in size, Magic Kingdom castles triple. Across the skyline of the most popular theme park in the world, the iconic Cinderella Castle is now joined by the distant ramparts of Beast’s Castle while stately Prince Eric’s Castle looms above the grottoed entrance to Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid.

four unique experiences.

Riders climb 126 steps to the top of the eight-story tower (nearly 80 feet), stepping into one of three colorful breakaway boxes. As the door closes, riders cross their arms and give a thumbs up in preparation for their drop, they'll never know when the floor beneath them will disappear! Facing each other, riders watch as their fellow riders fall. Adding to the anticipation is the sound of a heartbeat, which can be heard in the background while bracing for the drop. Once the floor disappears, riders drop 20-24 feet per second launching them into a spiraling speed slide culminating in a final splashdown. Riders who are not quite brave enough for the breakaway boxes can try the open slide. But don't be fooled, this is not an ordinary slide; it's the steepest of the four slides and many riders are calling it the most intense. "Ihu's Breakaway Falls is the reason to visit Aquatica Orlando this summer," said Bryan Nadeau, Aquatica Orlando vice president. "From the daring height, crazy drops, and intense speed, this thrilling new attraction brings a whole new level of excitement to an already amazing park that has so much for every age." In fact, this open-aired slide is the steepest of all four slides. • Once the floor disappears, riders will drop 20-24 feet per second.

There was deterioration in the budget, lower growth, deterioration of public accounts and assets, lack of confidence and credibility. Using a combination of after school, in-school, weekend and summer programming, AGFM has one of the most comprehensive string music education programs in the state of Florida, and has reached nearly 8,000 children since its inception by Gary Landwirth in 1999. A Gift For Teaching is Central Florida’s primary provider of free school supplies to teachers for their students in need, enabling them to succeed in school and life. A nonprofit organization that serves 330 public schools in Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties, AGFT has distributed nearly $80 million worth of school supplies – including essential classroom tools such as pencils, notebooks, glue, backpacks, art supplies and books –to local students in need since 1998.

A Palavra e o Poeta ASAS Autor: Nilton Bustamante

Nilton Bustamante

Fernando Naviskas

Ela cria movimento. Movimento é vida, o movimento indica a vida. A arte torna possível e aceitável a vida.

Quero aroma, temperatura, sabor. Quero o frio, quero aconchego.

The Art of Fernando Naviskas The Art of Fernando Naviskas

What is painting for you ?

Fernando Naviskas is a photographer, graduated in painting by the School of Fine Arts of S. Paulo in 1984 and member of the Societe des Artistes Structurellistes founded in France by Pierre Beaudier.. He was recently appointed resident artist ZARCO the International Academy of Arts Madeira - Portugal

Painting is my word and that word travels a journey and matures along those 34 years. I can’t explain, I only obeyed to my hands. Painting only in my spare time was cruel, but there was in me a point of maturity where all I wanted to do was painting. " What do you do? I'm An artist. Oh, cool! And what do you work with? " That's a funny way to think that art, is not acraft. I worked in retail for years. I don’t know, but I painted long before used paint, because I saw a different town, I saw compositions, I saw the urban poetry, cement and we saw one another creating ...Then one day in November 2012, the doors of the Grand Palais, as a majestic building full of history of Paris, with two paintings to the assembly day. All the air of Paris was little for me to breathe and decipher that moment - I actually thought it had been there and lived that scene ...There isn’t the right way to walk, a certain way - there is just walking. To each one is different. I am a painter, I will not give up the smell of ink in my hands and stained clothes, they are to me, the witnesses of love and heroism, and above all honesty and respect for me." My art, my highest truth . " · .

He is part of art collections in Brazil, the United States, France, Italy, Germany and Spain. Grandchild of Lithuanians and Lebanese, born in Barretos / SP, is now 52 years old, with a history of 34 years of painting. Has lived of his art professionally for almost four years . The urban themes started in São Paulo in a more descriptive way till today and continues, but at a more interpretive path. Fernando, how it all started ? My first steps in the center of São Paulo were the small steps of a child with his father in a fun day. The São Paulo of the 60’s, the most beautiful city with less traffic, less dangerous, less dirty, more secure, with public schools of quality, and a better health system. But now look at people whith hurry feet, hands and mouths that devour breakfast and lunch, they pile on buses, subways and trains. I witnessed the vertical growth of the metropolis, the boy who couldn’t find his soccer field anymore, because a large building was placed there. The street market is nearly extinct due to the rise of malls . How did your interest in the arts ? It’s a machine that never turns off, people from major cities are the most lonely of all. Everything regards to this city became my first reason for images. Crazed engine that drives the country that welcomes everyone here and the world ...Photographed thousands and thousands of times. The squares, bridges, streets, markets, parks, buildings, scenes of joy, pain, pleasure, love and work. These tests, forged concerns about my own experience .

How do you see the panorama of art and culture in Brazil ? There is a serious Brazil, there is a part of Brazil that gives us pride. We need this if we want to greatly increase credibility. There are great talents and deserve respect. There are great artists and people of integrity who produce art and also other very skilled at what they do. But there is a lot of hypocrisy in my country, the people and their rulers are impregnated by corruption and cultivated for centuries a corrupted culture. Enough of favoritism, patronage, marked cards ...It is sad to know that even in art this tumor spreads. In the world also. Winning with art and culture in a land whose greatest hope is to win in football and dance carnival is not easy! no! Then show the work in France, Portugal, Germany, the United States, in Japan - to be loved and respected under other skies, talk about my work to foreigners, to know the lives of these people and especially the energy and light of those places is the same path that proceeds - a path that starts at the overpass Santa Iphigenia, maybe ... There is much ground to stand on.

In 1982 when I joined the School of Fine Arts of St. Paul, still in the building of the Pinacoteca it was the beginning of a pictorial mining. Earlier, in the late 70’s for the first time in a Biennial, I saw the works of Gregory Gruber that was realI'm 52 , but I was just born recently. I have much to learn and live with art. I've ized in a broad sense in the letter of the artist - painter of the city, maker chrobeen asked about the fact that I don’t worry about the fashions in art, painting fonic, building his diary in color and shapes. Drinking in bars .. listening to rock will never be extinguished.” bands, going to work, endless anguish immersed in a factory, a trade, an office. I drew a lot as a child. The painting happened later. How do you choose the theme of your work ? Noises, city, drama, music ... Music and painting are incredibly close ... What I take to the screen is the result of a daily life underwater, disturbed, exIf you were not a painter, what other profession would you? plosive, emotional. I want strength, temperature, flavor. I want the cold, I want warmth. I want melody, music, harmony in the universe, I want all the bridges If I was not a painter I would be a musician ... I sang in choirs, bands, festivals, that can lead us to places reinvented, I want spirituality, boundless energy. I long raved to hear it all together ... combining the harmony moves me. The art never for the life that overwhelms and that transubstancializes in each work, absoholds you from one side only . She creates movement. Movement is life, move- lutely unique. No chance to think of my art as fashion. I have to remind you my ment indicates life. Art makes life possible and acceptable . great teacher in the School of Fine Arts Professor Eunice de Moraes Sophia with Good or bad, life, whatever ... I'll be back, and then: The painting creates anoth- its most unforgettable and most valuable phrase: ART IS MUCH MORE. That is er look, improves that reality, cleans the dirt of the streets, makes us see. wise ! A beggar on the painting he is no longer an outcast - even more than by the painter so often seen equal. Art can be beautiful without showing something nice. It can be terrible and terrifying it can be everything, but can not be empty . "

Adriana Florence

A boneca vestia sete saias: anáguas.Desde então passei a imaginar as inú meras explicações para uma mulher usar tantas anáguas. E descobri que, apesar de abandonadas no final do século passado, ainda as usamos.

Adriana Florence is a deep soul and art in action Meet Adriana Florence is a privilege that I now share with all friends and readers . I was in her atelier on Inauguration Day with a mission to route a fetus indigenous artifact made of Buriti and pequis sent by my good friend and master Diva Buss . From this moment there was the enchantment of sisterhood and friendship. Adriana Florence exudes soul, art, research and enchantment with the world and the human being, whether male and female. Adriana is one of the most profound and poetic people I have the honor to meet . In all these years we have accompany each other, disregarding the distance ... several situations of enchantment with the routine, like the launch of her book with Paulo Bonfim, whether in my home in Na Nazareth, and who ‘d already dipped deep into its seven skirts !

I visited the origin of the Feast of Anáguas in Nazaré, Portugal: Washing of Anáguas. And the book was born from this enormous urge to tell poetically all women are alike and how wonderful ! Not stepping in Anáguas of others, fluff your own. Wear many, We all wear many different women in life. Anáguas *** is a free discussion about the female mythical universe and its surroundings. An analogy of women’s definition. I often say that someone very provoking, interesting and strong is " a gorgeous Anágua. It is also an allusion that were formerly used by women and that translated their concern about modesty and the delicate cutting of men. Hinted at but never revealed. A game of seduction that was abandoned by women in disordered achievement by professional recognition, the struggle for equal rights and independence, very fair, but risking the loss of what has always been natural, especially in women .

The women's apparel always followed the social and behavioral changes. When women declared war to the submissive position, including sexual, she abandoned garments that came Here I honor our friendship and our professional respect, in the art of creating with hands to symbolize such a position.TheAnáguas was dropped when the status symbol came to and with the soul a life of dedication to the human being and the world that welcomes us . represent submission and subservience. When women finally changed the rules, as a result, society was impacted by this new order and behavior and this was reflected in absolutely What are the challenges of now? everything .The achievements are indisputable and the consequences of this drastic change Learned over the more than 30 year career, that my work as an artist, writer in the anthroalso. There is no way to change the rules and win without space there is also loss and / or pologist field should provide delight, joy and reflection, and that no one should leave this changes of identity and space. contact without feeling better, happier and more motivated. I appreciate the thought and thinkers in this current world where ideas and time are no longer in the same space and shelAnáguas discuss unpretentious conclusions or definitions, since we are still in transition ter in the human soul . and accommodation of the achievements and losses, if we indeed stopped wearing Anáguas, I want to be habitable and believe that through art we are able to make all habitable. I have perhaps they remained glued to our skin, invisible, representing our myths, those we create at present two projects that I fell in love and move me : daily. The female ability to create imaginative and quick solutions to complicated situations, Projeto Anáguas and A Floresta de Kuarup. I also feel that it is time to take the work and the ability we have to reinvent ourselves every minute, making use of the many women we discourse to other countries , traveling, looking , grasping , and especially exchange these carrying in our own identity. Our many Anáguas. values with those of other peoples and cultures I need to continue making bridges . Anáguas Book Project - erotic - tales Paintings and Objects , Photography and Documentary . Anáguas is a piece of women's clothing used as under garment ( dress or skirt ) with the aim of inhibiting transparency or generate volume. Anáguas - Originally it was a part used in male shirts, reaching down to the hips. In the Middle Ages, became a feminine piece, like a quilted vest. But, as fashion has replaced this piece by intimate shirt, Anáguas stretched and became a skirt tied around the waist with ribbons or strips .

Each Anágua is a myth, a part, despite the absolute response of our whole of our collective and feminine soul. As we all experience each other in a mixture of Anáguas (myths) that will react at different times and different situations. Women change their minds and get confused. We never know what the next moment of a woman will be . This instability is due to feminine grace and creativity, despite mo dern times insists in exorcise such creative energy with long and painful years of therapy. But how to relinquish what is natural to us without sacrificing our idea of truth, and happiness?

The modern woman has gained a lot with their claims, and lost the part that was natural to her. The voice within. You can no longer use the feelings and intuition, without appearing The name Anáguas was born before the texts, paintings and objects , as follows : weak and indecisive in the eyes of the business market and society, that will always raise the I won a doll from an aunt.
