SIEGFRIED NEUENHAUSEN

presents

German artist Siegfried Neuenhausen is known for his unifying observations and depictions of “man.” Although his life’s body of work is prolific, spanning across genres from painting to sculpture, it is specifically his series of bronze figurative statues that have led to his reputation as a great critical realist. It is through these small form sculptures that the gargantuan human condition, in all of its ironic, complex and idiosyncratic glory, is distinctively portrayed. This constant exploration into life situations, the therapeutic aspects of creativity, and the multifaceted, experiential ephemera of existence has garnered him much aplomb, including the highest medal of honor given to artists by the German Minister of Cultural Affairs. On the occasion of his 80th birthday, he was celebrated through multiple museum shows and continues to exhibit throughout Europe and the United States.
