COLLOQUIA SERIES A Conversation with Amy Hyoeun Lee, PhD, Hofstra University If We Build It, Will They Come? Engaging the Community to Address the Mental Health Treatment Gap for Asian American Youth Asian Americans are projected to become the largest immigrant group in the United States by 2055. Among U.S. communities of color, they are the least likely to use mental health services, with this disparity extending to Asian American youth. Little research has examined specific factors (cultural, structural, perceptual) affecting the use of mental health services for Asian American youth. Dr. Lee's research centers behavioral health equity for minoritized youth with interpersonal trauma histories. The ACCESS Study sought to better understand the mental health treatment gap for Asian American youth. Join us for this presentation in which Dr. Lee will present findings on barriers to mental health treatment for Asian American youth and families. Register in advance.
