Every year in springtime this house of culture is presenting a varied program about the subjects of sexual variety, gender equality and discrimination. June 2, July 14 & September 1, 2018 Heidelberg Castle Illumination with Fireworks The legendary castle illuminations draw crowds of thousands every year – Bengal Fire slowly bathes the castle in a mysterious red glow. Reminiscent of 1693, when the troops of the sun-king, Louis XIV, burnt the castle and the town to the ground, leaving behind only the now famous ruin. The fireworks to follow light up the Neckar Valley.

The exhibition in the Kurpfälzisches Museum spans the period from the 19th century until the close of the 20th century.
