The round tour conveys not only the university’s history but also provides an insight into student life. It takes you from the university library via the Peterskirche (St. Peter’s Church), the oldest church in Heidelberg, to the Alte Aula (Old Auditorium) and the historical Studentenkarzer (Student’s Prison). “Delectable Heidelberg” Tour

Let your stomach fall in love. Romantic Heidelberg can be explored in a culinary manner. Take a tour through the picturesque Old Town with an aperitif matured under the sun of Baden and a regional 3-course menu in two traditional restaurants of Heidelberg. The time and journeys between the courses and locations are entertainingly spiced up with history and stories, “magical elixirs”; and are topped off with a sweet Heidelberg treat. Price € 89 per person, no reductions including aperitif, appetizer, main course, desert, two “surprises” and a guided tour. Drinks to be charged separately in the respective locations / restaurants and to be paid for there. Segway Tour “Highly Philosophical”

The Segway Tour opens up an entirely new perspective. Glide along the river Neckar to the historical and trendy quarter Neuenheim with a tour guide. From there, you will continue towards the zoo and through the Neuenheimer Feld, with its impressive university and hospital buildings, and up to the Philosophenweg (Philosophers’ Walk). This Heidelberg sight is not easily seen at first glance. The former vintners’ path was once taken by scholars who desired the inspiration of the “Heidelberg Triad”: The harmony of the baroque city, the Castle and the river Neckar. It’s an extraordinary view! Price € 49, € 44 with HDCARD including helmet fee and Segway license Duration 1 ¾ hours Times February and November German / English: daily, 9:30 am and 1:00 pm March – October German / English: daily, 9:30 am, 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm Meeting point Neckarmünzplatz Minimum requirements 15 years old, Size at least 1.40 m, moped license required, 45 – 115 kg Minimum number of participants 2 people Tip SummerNightSpecial: June – August German / English: Monday – Thursday 7:00 pm Note Booking required. Segway Tour “Wolfsbrunnen c/o Oh, what a nice Castle”

A large part of this tour explains about relevant and irrelevant events in the history of Heidelberg; and the people who actively contributed to making that history happen, and who are remembered for it to this day. The tour with a guide starts at the Neckarmünzplatz and leads to the Alte Brücke (Old Bridge) and then to the Stift Neuburg monastery, founded in 1130. The next stop is the “Köpfel”, a popular vantage point with a view of the Neckar valley, the city of Heidelberg and the Rhine valley. From there, the group will cross the river Neckar in Ziegelhausen and continue to the Restaurant Wolfsbrunnen. The tour goes on to the Klingenteich above the Castle before finally returning to the starting point. Price € 59, € 54 with HDCARD including helmet fee and Segway license Duration 1 ¾ hours Times February – November German / English: daily 9:30 am and 3:00 pm Meeting point Neckarmünzplatz Minimum requirements 15 years old, Size at least 1.40 m, moped license required, 45 – 115 kg Minimum number of participants 2 people Note Booking required.
