Content of Your Studies

In our Smart and Sustainable Design degree programme you can study fashion & footwear or glass and ceramics design according to your choice. Additionally, you can expand your skills for example in the following areas: • entrepreneurship • business development • surface design skills • smart design • sustainable design

You will study in the design studio environments, where you learn how to apply theory in practice – through doing and making. You will have the opportunity to cooperate with companies in their field in various kinds of projects. We courage you to become international: our numerous international partner institutions offer you many opportunities for internationalization.

What Will You Learn?

You will learn how to use and combine both traditional and modern techniques with design thinking and a strong creative and material-based mindset. You will gain understanding of the importance of sustainable values and the challenges of circular economy.

What Can You Do?

After you have completed your studies, your will master all the steps from product design to manufacturing. You can work as a designer in companies in different fields and in the public sector, or act as an entrepreneur. Designers are increasingly setting up businesses and working in a diverse range of creative industries.
