Flaming June, let’s hope so after a very disappointing May and a soggy coronation we hope it didn’t spoil your celebrations.

It has been another busy month at The Christopher Centre! With new groups taking advantage of our low room hire prices why not come along and see if we can provide a space for you and your groups, family functions or a well needed office space away from home!!

We currently have a lovely office available to lease on a monthly or quarterly basis. If you would like to have a look at it please feel free to pop in and we can show you around or look on our website for more information on size etc. The Christopher centre is a lovely place to base your office with friendly staff, in the heart of town and a car park on site who could ask for more?

For those of you who are wondering what we do here, The Christopher Centre is a thriving community hub where many local groups run their classes and activities or family events without the mess in your home. We offer a number of rooms available to hire. We also house a number of offices used by local voluntary and community organisations. Our room hire is available on an hourly basis, from £6 per hour.

We also promote our own community activities particularly for individuals experiencing menopause, loneliness, isolation or mental health issues. We aim to continue bringing a friendly community approach to the people of Sudbury and surrounding areas, please contact us if you would like to visit with a view to hosting your group or event with us. We have five incredible spaces to offer including the Commonlands Room that can comfortably house 30+ people and includes lovely modern kitchen facilities, to the Suffolk Room which is ideal for one-to-one meetings.

Fly tipping

Sadly, in May we have seen several cases of fly tipping in our car park/ cartlodge and also in our large bins. This is very disappointing as we are a registered charity and will have to rely on our very kind volunteers to take this rubbish to the dump.

Thank You

We were very fortunate to have had some very kind donations last month and we are very grateful for them. This helps us to keep the centre running and being able to offer the services that we do. This also ensures that the Christopher Centre is a place in the community for the community.

A big thank you to Tony Fisher CEO of Fisher Jones Greenwood Solicitors. Tony came along to discuss our rights in the workplace with regard to Menopause. Many ladies have have been mistreated due to their symptoms and this has been highlighted in the news. (For information on this discussion please do not hesitate to contact us)

And as always, a HUGE thank you to our amazing Volunteers who keep the Centre running smoothly, running our reception, keeping the outside Courtyard area clear and doing small maintenance jobs.

We are always keen to welcome Volunteers who have skills they could offer the Centre, Gardening, Odd Jobs, Decorating, Reception Cover. We already have two volunteers who work very hard in our courtyard throughout the year making this area clean, tidy and presentable but as they say every little helps.
