Maybe you want to start eating healthier, quit smoking, or read the newspaper every day. Or possibly you’ve resolved to broaden your skill set by attending a trade show or seminar. I’m looking forward to continuing to immerse myself in the news of the latest innovations within the green industry and delivering that information to you in new and exciting ways. The pages of Green Industry Pros have been filled this year with numerous new innovations and modern products equipped to make your jobs easier and more efficient keeping your clients properties looking good. This issue collects many of those products across seven different categories. Hopefully, something among these will be part of a solution to help you continue moving your business forward in 2021. There is no doubt, you were already moving in the right direction. Reevaluate your processes: Talk to your staff to get their input and assess whether it’s time to invest in systems that can help your business work smarter not harder. This can relate to billing, record keeping and more. 2. Check your equipment: Assess the condition and hours of your equipment fleet to identify those units that should be transitioned out and what may need to be replaced in 2021. 3. Review your people: Is your staff meeting performance objectives? If not, why? Could additional training help? Determine if you have the right people in key places. If you don’t, work on a recruitment plan to find them or to grow them from within.
