guide to Grace. CONSIDER THIS YOUR

By a picturesque lake in Indiana, you’ll come face to face with grace. The kind of grace that transforms perspectives and disrupts complacency. Here, you’ll start a journey that takes you farther than you ever thought possible. That’s what it means to walk in WAYS OF GRACE.

2

Grace is not just the tradition on which we were founded; it’s the future we embrace. Grace makes you hungry for knowledge. Serious about creating impact. Passionate about a way of life that reflects Christ and the grace He has bestowed on us. So wherever you go, whatever you do, whoever you become, you’ll do it all in ever-expanding ways of grace. And when you use this book as a guide — filling in prompts, marking it up, and making it yours— you’ll come to find out exactly what that means.

AT GRACE,

you’re family. Dr. Laurie Owen’s love for students is as obvious as her devotion to Grace College. As the dean of the School of Education, she is helping create a new generation of moral practitioners who seek to better the world through empathy, understanding, and a strong ethical compass.

“At Grace, I am able to be a part of a team that loves others well. Watching and listening to my colleagues intentionally and compassionately interacting with students warms my heart. Our candidates and graduates truly represent our mission and put into practice our core verse, Micah 6:8.” DR. LAUR IE OW E N

I GIVE DEVOTIONALS IN ALL THE CLASSES I TEACH, AND STUDENTS SAY THEY LEARN SO MUCH FROM THEM. AT GRACE, I HAVE THE FREEDOM TO SHARE MY HEART FOR CHRIST FREELY.” D R . R OGE R STICH TE R

M O R E THAN JU S T N UMBERS As a Professor of Accounting, Dr. Roger Stichter knows a lot about numbers, but he also understands what it takes to further the common good. By focusing his research on areas like accounting ethical sensitivity and the science of generosity, he brings his faith into the classroom, inspiring his students to do the same.

L E A R N I NG FACI LI TI E S What you’ll learn here goes far beyond the classroom. But our classrooms are worth bragging about, too—especially our new Dr. Dane A. Miller Science Complex, which features renovated labs and learning spaces, our Lilly Center for Lakes & Streams, the world’s first freshwater virtual aquarium, and an augmented-reality sandbox.

SEEK THRILLS

SEEK ENTERTAINMENT

Being in a lakeside community doesn’t just bring beautiful views. It brings plenty of chances for adventure, with fishing, waterskiing, swimming, and more. If you’d rather bide your time on land, Winona Lake is known also for its cycling and hiking trails.

If you’re more of the indoors type, we completely understand. We’ve got you covered with Broadway-level shows at the Wagon Wheel Theatre, and an abundance of shopping in Winona Lake’s quaint downtown.

Endless ways to connect,

AND BECOME. On our campus, you’ll explore new terrain, get involved in new activities, and become part of a tight-knit community of people who value faith, service, and fun in equal measure.

DE E P EN YOUR FAI TH Three times a week, we come together as a campus to worship in chapel. Through prayer, music, service, and discipleship, we come closer to knowing God and each other. And we rock out to music from our incredibly talented chapel band, which you’re also invited to audition for. M A KE Y O U RS EL F AT H O ME Dorms aren’t just where you’ll sleep. They’re where you’ll reflect, relax, study, and socialize. We’ve built three new dorms in the last six years, all of them with modern accommodations and dedicated resident directors. No matter which one you choose to live in, you’ll make it a place that’s all your own. J OI N TH E CL U B But why limit yourself to one? From disc golf to student government, you can get involved with anything that strikes your interest. Are you really into improv comedy or do you have an abiding love for deep discussions about classic films? We’ve got clubs for those, too.

EVEN GREATER THAN ACADEMIC GROWTH, MY PEERS HELPED ME GROW SPIRITUALLY AND EMOTIONALLY — AND MOST OF THAT OCCURRED IN RESIDENT LIFE. LIFE AS A RESIDENT ASSISTANT TAUGHT ME HOW TO LISTEN WELL, LEAD WELL, AND ENCOURAGE WELL.” ASHL EY DURAN D (BS 1 3)

something even greater. E Q U I P PE D T O S TA N D O U T When applying for a competitive marketing internship at BDO USA — one of the nation’s top accounting firms — junior Omar Gonzalez was up against students from bigname universities around the country. But his character, enthusiasm, and educational experience set him apart from the rest.

“Being chosen for this opportunity made me realize the enormous amount of preparation we are given here at Grace to be ready for these real-world experiences.” OM AR G ONZA L EZ ( C U R RENT STU DENT)

Your years here lay the groundwork for everything that happens next. So, what exactly does happen next? It might be a fulfilling career. It might be an advanced degree. It might be a life of full-time ministry. Whichever path you choose, your time at Grace will pave the way for something extraordinary.

M A KING AN I MPACT I N A M U LTI TUDE OF WAY S As a two-sport athlete at Grace, Andrea Terrell learned a lot about multi-tasking. Today, she puts that skill into practice at PepsiCo, where she serves as a microbiologist for the soda giant’s Gatorade brand. Whether she’s testing the quality of sucrose, managing innovation projects, or leading a diversity and inclusion group, Andrea stays true to Grace’s belief in never being complacent.

CA R RYI NG ON A L E GA CY OF LEADER S At Grace College, Corey Smith took the School of Education’s conceptual framework— ”teachers as moral practitioners”— to heart. So much so, in fact, that he made it part of his mission when co-founding the Smith Academy for Excellence (SAFE), a tuition-free, all-boys charter school in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

He says, “Our school strategically develops elite scholars of responsibility, dignity, character, and service. These young men will be positive leaders of consequence in their communities.” Corey experienced many leaders of consequence himself during his time at Grace.

that’s just our way. PLACEMENT PROMISE In addition to being affordable, our degrees are designed to prepare you for success. We’re confident you’ll find employment after graduation, but if you don’t, take heart. Through the Placement Promise, if you meet certain criteria and do not find employment or gain acceptance to graduate school within six months of graduation, you may be eligible to earn an additional year of undergraduate education tuition-free.

We’ve long made it our firm commitment to make a Christcentered education accessible for those who seek it. How do we achieve it? It’s called a MEASURE OF GRACE.

FOUR YEARS, ZERO TUITION INCREASE

GRADUATE IN THREE YEARS

MAKE IT A MASTER’S IN FOUR

Many colleges raise your tuition incrementally every year. At Grace, your tuition is locked in from your freshman year, so it will be the same when you graduate.

Our accelerated bachelor’s degree program gives you the opportunity to earn your undergraduate degree in just three years, saving you an entire year of tuition.

Another accelerated degree option gives you the chance to earn both your bachelor’s and a master’s degree in just four years total — and to keep all of your undergraduate financial aid through graduate school.

99% OF GRACE COLLEGE STUDENTS RECEIVE FINANCIAL AID.
