We will explore the construction and function of view cameras including lenses, film holders, camera movements (tilt, rise, shift,) focusing, depth of field, and related gear. Foundation: The Oil Printing Process

Starting with instructor-supplied paper, gelatin, sensitizer, lithographic ink, medium/large format negatives, and simple equipment, students will learn to make striking and unique photographic images using the ‘oil’ printing process, which is based on the disaffinity of oil and water.
