Working in mixed media can be liberating. Experiment with materials (dry and wet) to create unique collages. Add textures and layers including photo transfers. All skill levels are welcome. Create an 8 x 8 ” piece of mosaic art work for indoor display, using a variety of materials such as stained glass, vitreous tiles and other beautiful glass. Have fun while you learn to cut glass and build your piece, tessera by tessera. You will learn about design, adhesives, preparing substrates for indoor use, etc. You will also learn how to grout and finish your piece. Students are encouraged to bring their own simple design, but some basic design options will be provided by the instructor. Completed pieces will be grouted on the second day. A separate $65 supply and tool loan fee is payable to the instructor on the first day of class. Please note that tools may not be borrowed for overnight use. More info: bluehyacinthmosaics@gmail.com. Mosaic Pendant Workshop

Create a unique pendant with your choice of beautiful mosaic materials such as stained glass, millefiori, beads, smalti, and more. A variety of pendant bezels will be provided for you to choose from and glass cutting skills will be taught. No experience required. A separate $40 supply and tool loan fee is payable to the instructor on the first day of class.
