Discover a timeless oriental art with Sumi ink drawing. Sumi ink painting is a traditional East Asian art form that uses black ink and water to create beautiful, monochromatic paintings. Sumi ink drawing encourages students to express creativity and appreciate the beauty of simplistic yet graceful forms of art. We will focus on learning different brushstroke techniques, textures, and blending methods to create beautiful artworks. All materials for ink drawings or ink painting will be provided. Egyptian Mummies and Tombs (Ages 6-12) $125

Why did the Egyptians make mummies? Look inside a Pyramid to find out what artistic treasures were put inside. We will create a Mummy and write secret messages with hieroglyphics and create a Canopic jar. $20 Supply fee payable to the instructor. Architecture/Animals Sculpting Studio $220 (Ages 7-12)

Study and create buildings seen and imagined as well as animal shapes, creatures, robots and landscapes. We will begin with drawings and move to the sculpted form. Inspired by designer/artists, we will work in a range of drawing media, moving to 3D materials: clay, wood, wire, found materials, plaster and more, and also use paint.
