Timeline Predictions for the world of technology in 2023

TIMELINE PREDICTIONS FOR THE WORLD OF TECHNOLOGY IN 2023

Among Gartner’s Top Strategic Technology Trends for 2023 are advancements in the metaverse and adaptive AI technologies, while sustainable technology is expected to continue to dominate many organisations’ agendas 1

Sustainable Technology

Delivering technology alone will not be enough in 2023. Sustainable technology enables enterprise sustainability through technologies like traceability, analytics, emissions management software, and AI, helping customers achieve their own sustainability objectives.

Adaptive AI allows for behaviour change postdeployment through use of real-time feedback. It continuously retrains models and learns – within both runtime and development environments – based on new data and adjusted goals. By 2026, enterprises that have adopted adaptive AI systems could outperform their peers by at least 25%.

Adaptive AI

Adaptive AI allows for behaviour change postdeployment through use of real-time feedback. It continuously retrains models and learns – within both runtime and development environments – based on new data and adjusted goals. By 2026, enterprises that have adopted adaptive AI systems could outperform their peers by at least 25%.

Industry cloud platforms combine SaaS, PaaS and IaaS with tailored, industryspecific functionality that organisations can use to more easily adapt to the relentless stream of disruptions. During a recent survey among North American and European enterprises, 40% had started the adoption of industry cloud platforms, while 15% are considering deployment by 2026. AI TRiSM supports AI-model governance, trustworthiness, fairness, reliability and data protection. It combines methods for explaining AI results and rapidly deploying new models, actively managing AI security as well as controls for privacy and ethics issues. By 2026, organisations operationalising TRiSM could see their AI models achieve a 50% result improvement.
