T

ake a walk through the historic, mythical and trailblazing career of Virginia Patterson Hensley, better known to the world as the iconic Patsy Cline. Nashville’s newest museum houses the largest collection of Patsy Cline artifacts in the world. Locked away for over 50 years, personal artifacts, letters, photographs, costumes, clothing, and household furnishings from her Nashville dream house help to pay homage to Cline’s storied personal and professional life. Patsy Cline was born Virginia Patterson Hensley of humble beginnings and began to experience a career that was about to launch her into superstardom until it was ended too early due to the tragic plane crash that took her life in 1963. Patsy landed her first recording contract with Four Star Records in 1955, but saw her biggest success when signing with Decca Records, which released her debut project in 1957. In her five and a half year charting career, she scored hits like Walkin’ After Midnight, I Fall to Pieces, Crazy, She’s Got You, Leavin’ On Your Mind, So Wrong and many others. Patsy Cline became a member of the Grand Ole Opry in 1960 and broke many ceilings for women. She was the first female to receive headline billing over her male tour-mates and the first female to not only anchor a Las Vegas Casino, but also to perform at New York’s Carnegie Hall. Despite all these accomplishments and the amazing fact that she has impacted generations of fans more than

50 years after her passing, fans had previously never had a museum to visit to honor her legacy. The opening of the Patsy Cline Museum represents this opportunity for fans, in the very town whose sound she was so influential in creating. Another exciting first for fans is the opportunity to purchase licensed apparel and collectables; never before available. Guests will travel back to her humble beginnings in Winchester, VA and see family photos, possessions and even the very booth she waitressed as a teenager at Gaunt’s Drugstore. Never-before-seen costumes that exhibit her transition from western cowgirl to torch singing headliner will also be on display. Many of the costumes exhibited are creations designed and sewn by her mother, Hilda. Guests will have the unique opportunity to step inside Patsy’s famed Rec Room, where many famous entertainers dropped in to jam and party in the dream home Patsy purchased on Nella Drive in Goodlettsville, TN. The room contains original furnishings owned and used by Cline and her husband Charlie Dick. A vintage jukebox broadcasts her mega- hit “Crazy,” highlighting its distinction as the most programmed jukebox song of all time. A bio film documents Patsy’s career and is hosted by noted actress Beverly D’Angelo, who played the role of Patsy Cline in the 1980 film “Coal Miner’s Daughter.” D’Angelo was nominated for a Golden Globe award for her role in the film. Located at 119 Third Avenue South, the Patsy Cline Museum is located on the second level of the building which houses the world renowned Johnny Cash Museum. Guests are educated and entertained via cutting-edge audio and touch screen technology featuring Cline’s numerous audio and video performances. The museum is open daily from 9 AM – 6 PM CT. t’s no secret that many of the biggest stars in Nashville’s music history got their start at 706 Union Avenue in Memphis; the original address of Sun Records. Such legendary performers as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and even Conway Twitty passed through the historic studios of Sam Phillips throughout their careers. That legacy is celebrated at the Sun Diner located at 105 Third Ave. S in downtown Nashville. The diner serves as a tribute to the music that came from Phillips’ studio. “The musical histories of Nashville and Memphis are forever intertwined with each other, with so many artists beginning their career at Sun before taking their music to Nashville – and all over the world,” said Adam Hesler, President of TC Restaurant Group, the company which owns the establishment and hopes to continue the tribute to Sun Records in cities across the country. Continuing with the theme of making history, Sun Diner is Nashville’s first 24-hour restaurant to be located in the downtown area of Music City. “We are excited about being Nashville’s first 24-hour diner to open, especially right off of Broadway in the heart

of the Honky Tonk district,” says TC’s Hesler. “Because of the uniqueness of our always being open, we serve a wide variety of dishes – ranging from dinner to breakfast – for those going home after a night on Broadway, or for those about to start their day downtown.” The restaurant is a hot destination for tourists – and locals – who are looking for one last taste of southern hospitality during the early morning hours. The menu at the Sun Diner will most definitely take on a Memphis flavor with such listings as the “Love Me” Tenders – named after the classic Presley hit, as well as the “Cry, Cry, Cry” Hot Wings – with its name taken from the first major hit record from “The Man In Black.” Among the entrees include the “Million Dollar Quartet,” with its moniker taken from the iconic December 1956 session at the label with Presley, Lewis, Cash, and Carl Perkins. Consumers will get to pick their choice of four items among such delicious fare as Crispy Bacon, Sausage Patty, Chef Thomas’ Hash Browns, Cage-free organic eggs any style, Pancake, Waffle, and Granola Parfait. In 1912, in a copper kettle at the Standard Candy Company at Clark & First Avenue in Nashville, Tennessee, the first combination candy bar was invented. A roundish mound of luscious caramel, creamy marshmallow nougat and fresh roasted peanuts all covered in real milk chocolate, the Goo Goo Cluster has been delighting Nashvillians and visitors to Music City ever since. In the early days, Goo Goo Clusters were hand dipped and sold without wrappers under glass at drug store candy counters. With the dawn of hand wrapping, a team of ladies was responsible for swaddling the Goo Goo Clusters in tin foil before they were sold. Eventually, machinery was put in place to automate wrapping the candy. Today, the process is so streamlined that Standard Candy Company can produce 20,000 clusters in one hour! In addition to the Original Goo Goo Cluster, the product is also available in two other varieties: the Supreme, which replaces peanuts with pecans, and the Peanut Butter, a peanut butter center sprinkled with crunchy peanuts then covered in real milk chocolate. In recent years, the flagship Goo Goo Shop and Dessert Bar opened in the SoBro area of downtown Nashville. This retail store and cafe gives visitors the opportunity to walk through history as they peruse a 100+ year timeline complete with artifacts from the Goo Goo archives, feast their eyes upon Premium Goo Goos being made by hand in a glassed-encased confectionery kitchen, and satisfy their sweet tooth with delicious baked treats, gourmet confections, and ice cream. The most recent addition to the Goo Goo Shop is “Goo Goo U”, where visitors are able to get a sweet education while participating in hands-on experiences. Guests can choose from various class formats that include making their own Premium Goo Goo, learning secret recipes from the Goo Goo kitchen, or tasting their way through a chocolate and wine pairing. NUDIE’S HONKY TONK

EMBELLISHES BROADWAY WITH COSTUMES, ARTIFACTS, FOOD & MUSIC

he world-famous Nudie’s Honky Tonk is now open on Broadway in Nashville featuring a three-story entertainment complex housing memorabilia, costumes, multiple bars, stages, and Southern style comfort food for patrons. This must-see attraction celebrates the life of Nudie Cohn and the unforgettable mark he made sewing together Hollywood glamour and country culture. “The rhinestone cowboy couture was founded in the hands of Nudie Cohn,” says owner Bill Miller, who also founded Music City’s award-winning Johnny Cash Museum, and is prepping the opening of the Patsy Cline Museum. “This attraction serves not only as a historical record of the epicenter where fashion perfectly fused country and Hollywood cultures, but also provides a museumlike environment for patrons to enjoy great food, drinks and live music.” Ukrainian-born Nuta “Nudie” Kotlyarenko and his wife, Bobbie, started their world-renowned fashion brand from their garage in the 1940’s. Nudie’s Rodeo Tailor fashions were donned by the hottest in film and music including Gene Autry, Johnny Cash, John Lennon, Elvis Presley, Robert Redford, Porter Wagner and John Wayne, and more. One of Nudie’s most recognized, ostentatious contributions on display is Elvis Presley’s $10,000 gold lame’ suit that he wore on the cover of the “50,000,000 Elvis Fans Can’t Be Wrong” album. Nudie didn’t stop at clothing. He also customized automobiles, installing silver-dollar dashboards, pistol

door handles and gear shifts, extending rear bumpers and trimming vehicles with longhorn steer horns as hood ornaments. Nine “Nudie Mobiles” survive today, with his $400,000 1975 Cadillac El Dorado finding a permanent home on the wall at Nudie’s Honky Tonk. In addition to Nudie’s iconic vintage suits and country music artifacts, Broadway’s newest offering houses three live performance spaces and Nashville’s longest bar at more than 100 feet. This remarkable destination, located at 409 Broadway, is open Monday-Thursday from 11AM to 3AM, and Friday-Sunday from 10AM to 3AM. Come Taste Grandpa Smith’s Flavored Moonshine

S

mith Creek Distillery is an authentic moonshine tasting attraction located in Nashville, Tennessee at Opry Mills. Tourists from multiple states travel to experience our down-home party in a jar. Smith Creek’s flavored moonshine still has the old-fashioned taste that mountain folk once enjoyed, sitting on their front porches, strumming a banjo or playing the guitar, while singing with joy and swigging from a jug in between songs. Just like Grandpa’s front porch, our distilleries are family friendly!

bartenders enthusiastically explain the history behind each flavor. And there are plenty from which to choose. Flavors like Straight White Lightnin’, Apple Pie, Salted Caramel, Coffee, Cinnamon, Peach, and Sweet Tea are a few flavors on the free-tasting menu. The wide variety gives our guests a complete moonshine-tasting experience, unlike any other, which offers them an opportunity to discover their favorite flavor before heading home with a few jars. In addition to the free tasting bar, Smith Creek Distillery also features a large retail store where guests can purchase bottled moonshines, apparel, jams, sauces, dry rubs, scented candles and more. So come on down and visit Smith Creek Distillery. Stroll through the covered bridge. Hear the crickets chirping next to the ole mill. See Grandpa’s truck run amuck in Smith Creek. Don’t miss the opportunity to sample some shine and enjoy a great time at Smith Creek Distillery in Opry Mills!

The recipe for moonshine is simply made from a base of corn, sugar, yeast and water. However, we took this legendary recipe to a whole new level by adding the special twist of different flavors, sometimes smooth, sometimes bold, but flavors that are always distinct. The term moonshine comes from the fact that the mountain folk did their distilling in the darkness, with the moon as their only source of light. Because of their late night activities, the term moonshine became associated solely with the spirits these moonshiners made. Our first of three locations was launched in Branson, Missouri in 2015 quickly followed in 2016 by our Pigeon Forge, TN store situated in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. Our third store is now open for business in the Opry Mills Mall, neighbor to Nashville’s historic Grand Ole Opry. At the heart of the Smith Creek Distillery experience is the opportunity to sample multiple flavors of moonshine at our free sample tasting bar. Eager to answer all questions, our

Accompanied by vivid and authentic scenery, Madame Tussauds Nashville will transport you to a mid-century recording studio, the original Grand Ole Opry stage in the 1970’s, a rock-themed dive bar, the famous Bluebird Café and backstage at a concert. The multi-sensory experience will be filled with many interactive components that allow you to step into the music, including the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to feel the rush as you perform onstage in front of a crowd with some of today’s biggest country icons backing you up. Your performance will determine whether they leave with thousands of new admiring fans or by being booed off the stage! Visitors from across the globe have the chance to shake it up with Elvis, play the piano with Stevie Wonder, take a selfie with Katy Perry or dance with Justin Timberlake, and are encouraged to take pictures, touch and have fun with the figures. Madame Tussauds is an ideal group experience and captures the essence of “Music City” by taking you on a musical journey from the 50s to today. Opry Mills offers free parking to motor coaches and the attraction is located directly across the from the Grand Ole Opry Plaza. Group and tour operator rates are available as well as educational workshops for school groups. Many of the 48+ musical heavy-hitters coming to this starstudded attraction were announced as permanent residents of the brand’s newest locale in fun and exciting locations across the US. Some of the music royalty hitting the stage

at Madame Tussauds Nashville will include Beyoncé, Carrie Underwood, Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, Johnny Cash and Bruce Springsteen. Several celebrities have joined forces with Madame Tussauds Nashville to have a little fun and debut their figures-multi-talented entertainer, Reba McEntire, had her figure stand in for her during a sound check at her Vegas show at Caesar’s Palace. Luke Bryan had his figure on stage at the 2017 ACM Awards and pulled a little trick on co-host, Dirks Bentley. Trisha Yearwood served as our host for Grand Opening and revealed her gorgeous wax look-a-like here in the attraction with hundreds of fans and media present. And most recently, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill met their wax twins backstage when they brought their 2017 Soul2Soul tour home to Nashville on August 5th, 2017. The unrivaled craftsmanship of each figure is truly an experience not to be missed. Each Madame Tussauds figure is a work of art, involving teams of professional artists and sculptors who spend months of extensive research and take more than 300 measurements to recreate world-famous icons to achieve the kind of astonishing realism that has been at the heart of the 250-year Madame Tussauds’ legacy. Bavarian Bierhaus brings a taste of Germany to Music City!

T

here is certainly no shortage of places to grab a beer in Nashville, a city where honky-tonks and craft beer taverns abound. But when it comes to getting an authentic German bier in a warm, friendly, Oktoberfest atmosphere, there is only one place to go – Bavarian Bierhaus! Bavarian Bierhaus opened in April 2017 at Opry Mills, Middle Tennessee’s largest destination shopping center, and is directly across the street from the famous Grand Ole Opry and the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center. Only 10 miles from downtown Nashville, the 15,000-square-foot massive bierhall offers the fun, excitement and culture of Bavaria right here in Music City. The bierhall has 500 seats inside and 120 more seats in the biergarten outside, as well as a large private dining room that can hold up to 100 guests. There are 12 large TVs scattered throughout the restaurant and bar area, so guests can cheer on their favorite sports teams. Not only is Bavarian Bierhaus a great place to catch a game, it’s also a live music venue featuring authentic German bands from right here in Nashville and across the country. Patrons are encouraged to get up and dance on the benches and swing their steins back and forth as in a true Munich bierhall. There is nothing like this experience elsewhere in Nashville! Guests come to the Bavarian Bierhaus for more than just the entertainment – they come for the bier and the authentic Bavarian cuisine. Patrons can enjoy 12 biers on tap imported from Bavaria and various German-brewed bottles. Biers can be enjoyed as a flight or a stein along with delicious authentic cuisine. Menu items include a range of items, from appetizers to soups and salads, to a variety of sausages from Milwaukee’s Usinger Sausage company, to schnitzels. The family-friendly restaurant also offers a children’s menu. Now, Nashville locals and guests are treated to Bavarian delicacies that are hard to come by in this region. Menu sampling: • Giant Imported Pretzels With Sweet Mustard (or try the bier cheese spread!) • Kartoffelpuffer (potato pancakes) • Hot Bacon Spinach Salat • Bavarian Onion Soup • Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich • Reuben • Currywurst • Schnitzel (pork or chicken)

• Oktoberfest Chicken • Schweinshaxe (roasted crisp pork shank) • Pretzel Pudding • Apfelstrudel (apple strudel) • Black Forest Cake This October, visit Bavarian Bierhaus for an authentic Bavarian Oktoberfest! The festivities will kick off Sept. 29–Oct. 1 with a German Car Show and Brunch, live music from German bands, and a Biergarten, provided by Paulaner. The celebration will continue all month long with special events, food and bier specials, live music, and more through Oct. 29. ountry music fans from around the world visit year after year to experience the unique country music history that comes alive as you journey through the Willie Nelson and Friends Museum. This is a very personal museum that evolved over the years from friendships established by museum founders, Frank and Jeanie Oakley. The Oakley’s were longtime friends with not only Willie Nelson but many of his legendary country music friends as well. There are lots of personal items to see donated by legends like Webb Pierce and Faron Young who were regulars at the museum prior to their passing. The museum has always been known as a great hangout for many of the stars you’ll see represented in the many exhibits. The museum is true country music history and showcases an “All Star” line-up of some of traditional country music’s greatest stars! Among the many highlights on display include the Martin guitar and paystub from Willie

re you looking for some good ole’ home cooking, exceptional Southern Hospitality and live entertainment that will have you singing along and tapping your feet? Then Nashville Nightlife is definitely the place to go! We recently had the pleasure of a night out at the theater. We were warmly greeted at the door and given our tickets. We browsed the lobby area where we found unique, one-of-a-kind souvenirs and gifts. Before long, the hostess called our name and personally seated our party in the dinner theater. A smiling, friendly waitress took our beverage order and directed us to the buffet table. There we found a lovely salad bar and a first-class buffet with country fried chicken and ribs as their entrees that night, complete with all the fixins’. Everything was homemade right down to the peach cobbler for dessert. I had the warm feeling of being in my grandma’s kitchen. Once the entertainment starts, I guarantee you will be dancing in your seat. We were treated to such a wide variety of music from Hank Williams Sr., Patsy Cline, and Conway Twitty to Sara Evans and Toby Keith. There is

Jack’s Bar-B-Que

F

or “The Best Bar-B-Que in Nashville, Tennessee”, you’ve got to visit Jack’s Bar-B-Que where they proudly serve barbeque from “Pit to Plate”. Offering Tennessee pork shoulder, Texas beef brisket, smoked turkey, Texas sausage, St. Louis style ribs, smoked chicken, and other Southern cuisine with their awardwinning sauces, there is something to please every palate. Their cooking method and awardwinning sauces make Jack’s the best. After applying their dry rub (spices and herbs) meat is smoked for 18 hours at 250 degrees. From “Pit to Plate”, it is sliced and chopped before serving and you will notice a pink smoke ring. That’s the real signature of hickory smoked barbeque. Jack recommends pouring sauces right before eating. Award-winning sauces include Kansas City Style (mild, sweet and smoky), Tennessee Original (tangy vinegar base), Texas Sweet Hot (tomato base), XXX-911 (cross between TN & TX with a kick), Carolina Style (mustard base), and Music City White Sauce (mayo, horseradish base). Purchase any four of Jack’s Bar-B-Que Famous Sauces and get a FREE Hand Rub! When you dine at Jack’s, you will see for yourself why Jack’s Bar-B-Que has been named “The Best Bar-B-Que in Nashville, Tennessee” by the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Southern Living, and USA Today. 3 Locations to serve you (T.C.B) Trinity, Charlotte and Broadway. music city trivia & fun facts

DIDYOUKNOW? DID YOU KNOW… The amount on the price tag on Minnie Pearl’s hat was $1.98. The Centerville native and Grand Ole Opry star would eventually buy a home next door to the Governor’s Mansion on Curtiswood Lane in Nashville. DID YOU KNOW… That President Theodore Roosevelt coined the phrase “good to the last drop”, words that became a national slogan, after sipping coffee at Maxwell House Hotel. The coffee was a local product of the Cheek family. Their family home is now Cheekwood Botanical Garden & Museum of Art. DID YOU KNOW… Nashville’s Athena Parthenos is the tallest indoor sculpture in the Western world. She stands an impressive 42 feet high in the temple of the Parthenon. DID YOU KNOW… Elvis recorded more than 200 of his songs at RCA’s Historic Studio B on Music Row. The red, blue and green lights found in the studio are a remnant from one of Elvis’s Christmas albums. Unable to get in the holiday spirit while recording in July, he was having trouble finishing the album. The crew solved the problem by installing holiday-colored lights, putting up an artificial Christmas tree in the corner and cranking the air conditioner up as high as it would go to create the festive atmosphere. DID YOU KNOW… Country singer Randy Travis was a cook and dishwasher at the Nashville Palace before he made it big. 66 getaway nashville and middle tennessee

DID YOU KNOW… Belle Meade Plantation was famous for breeding thoroughbred horses. Iroquois, bred at the Belle Meade Farm, was the first American horse to win the English Derby. In addition to Iroquois, there were two other famous horses that can trace their lineage back to Belle Meade: Seabiscuit and War Admiral, both made popular again by the 2011 best-selling novel. For generations removed, the 1930’s horses were descendents of the sires of Bonnie Scotland, Belle Meade’s prize horse, making the family rivalry at the Plantation run deep. DID YOU KNOW… In 1941, Nashville was granted the first FM license in the United States. Music City then became the first to enjoy static-free radio. DID YOU KNOW… The Frist Center for Visual Arts is located in what was formerly Nashville’s main post office, a city landmark, placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. The Center went to great lengths to preserve the historical integrity of the building, as the building itself is a work of art. DID YOU KNOW… African-American artist and native Nashvillan Will Edmonson was the first black to be honored with a one-man exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Edmonson, the son of former slaves, created primitive limestone carvings of animals, angels, Biblical characters, and even celebrities. A photo spread of his work in Harper’s Bazaar led to the historic 1937 exhibit in New York City. Today, his works are on display at Cheekwood.

DID YOU KNOW… Nashville was founded on Christmas Eve 1779 along the banks of the Cumberland River. Two teams of pioneers set forth from the Carolinas to found the new city. Upon arrival, they immediately began building Fort Nashborough. Among the pioneers was Rachel Donelson, who would later become the wife of Andrew Jackson. DID YOU KNOW… The Hermitage: Home of President Andrew Jackson, the 7th president of the United States, boasts a driveway in the shape of a guitar. Legend says that the driveway was so shaped to please his daughter-in-law Emily. Nashvillians like to think it was a good sign of things to come. DID YOU KNOW… Standard Candy Company, founded in 1901, created the GooGoo, a true Nashville delight marrying peanuts, caramel, marshmallow and milk chocolate together for a tasty cluster of candy. Today Standard Candy Company uses more than 3 million pounds of chocolate a year. Legend has it that GOO stands for Grand Ole Opry. DID YOU KNOW… After a May 1885 sermon given by the Reverend Sam Jones at a tent revival, Captain Tom Ryman became an instant convert and immediately began raising funds to build a church. Upon his death in 1904, the church he built as the Union Gospel Tabernacle, was renamed in his honor - Ryman Auditorium. The iconic venue would later host such performers as Enrico Caruso, Katharine Hepburn, and Bob Hope, as well as the Grand Ole Opry from 1943-1974. Not surprisingly, in 2003, 2004, 2010 and 2011, the Ryman was named Theatre of the Year by Pollstar Magazine. Today, the Ryman is open for tours during the day and for concerts by artists of all genres at night.

DID YOU KNOW… Oprah Winfrey was raised in Nashville by her father Vernon Winfrey. While a sophomore at Tennessee State University (TSU), she was hired as a news anchor at WTVF-TV/News Channel 5, making her the first female and first African American in Nashville to hold such a job. DID YOU KNOW… That the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum is an architectural wonder in itself? One side of the building is a RKO-style radio tower while the main building, with windows resembling a piano keyboard, ends in a Cadillac tailfin-style flourish. DID YOU KNOW… President Richard Nixon was onstage when the Grand Ole Opry broadcast its first show in the new Opry House in 1974. The former President played “God Bless America” on the piano and Roy Acuff showed him how to yo-yo. DID YOU KNOW… Nashville is known the world over as “Music City” because WSM radio announcer David Cobb referred to Nashville with that nickname in 1950 on Red Foley’s NBC radio broadcast. DID YOU KNOW… The Hermitage Hotel which has hosted several political and entertainment figures including John F. Kennedy, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Al Capone since it opened its doors in 1910 is the only Five-Star, Five Diamond property in the state of Tennessee. DID YOU KNOW… The Union Station Hotel, a National Historic Landmark since 1977, was originally built in 1900 as the city’s railroad station. March/April 2018

A MUST SEE IN NASHVILLE

he Johnny Cash Museum features the largest collection of Johnny Cash memorabilia in the world. From The Man in Black’s earliest childhood artifacts to the very last song he wrote, you’ll find it here. Exhibits chronicle Johnny’s life and provide a very personal and unique glimpse into his world. Depicted in stunning graphics, artifacts and interactive technology, visitors are provided a three dimensional walk through the life and legend of this international icon. Our exhibits include Johnny’s stage costumes, instruments, personal letters, artwork and handwritten songs as well as artifacts from family members and notable friends. More than 25 costumes are on exhibit including the gown worn by First lady Patricia Nixon when Cash played the White House in 1971. Another highlight is the custom Gibson J200 guitar Johnny had made in 1958 which was on exhibit at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for seven years before moving to its present home here in Nashville. The instrument is valued at $250,000. Our newest exhibit, Legends of Sun Records, features artifacts, films and musical recordings from Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Roy Orbison and Jerry Lee Lewis. Among the artifacts featured are some of the earliest Presley pieces ever discovered, a pair of Roy Orbison’s signature eyeglasses, handwritten lyrics to the Rock and Roll anthem Blue Suede Shoes and much more. Cash, who sold more than 100 million records, is one of the world’s best known and loved entertainers. His concerts tours took him around the world and he is known in every corner of the globe. He has received virtually every award the entertainment world has to offer and is the only entertainer in history to be inducted into the Rock and Roll, Country Music, Songwriter’s and Gospel Music Halls of Fame. His Facebook page has over

10 million followers; more than most living entertainers. He posted over 130 hits on the Billboard Country singles chart. Cash placed at least two singles on the Country charts for 38 consecutive years, including an amazing 25 hits between 1958 and 1960. Johnny Cash is the only artist to have songs on the Billboard charts for six consecutive decades. He received two of the Nation’s greatest honors; The National Medal of Arts, presented by President George W. Bush and the Kennedy Center Honors, presented by President Bill Clinton. He amassed 17 Grammy awards during the span of his career; among the most awarded to any entertainer in history. Personalities ranging from Snoop Dog, the members of U2, Bob Dylan, Justin Timberlake, Kris Kristofferson, Bruce Springsteen and several U.S. Presidents, among many others are self-professed Cash fans, demonstrating his broad popularity which spans age and culture. Among the many highlights are the handwritten lyrics to his classic hits I Walk the Line and Folsom Prison Blues. You’ll also see a stone wall from Johnny and June’s storied home on the lake in Hendersonville including their precious antique furnishings and personal belongings. Our Museum Store features the largest selection of Cash souvenirs, apparel and rare collectibles available anywhere in the world. Come and visit the Johnny Cash Museum. Our staff members include Cash family members and friends who love to visit and share stories with our guests. No trip to Nashville would be complete without a visit to the Johnny Cash Museum.
