The BG-MAESTRO is a compact ePTZ auto-tracking camera delivering extremely accurate tracking. Easy to configure, it requires no additional software for setting the autotracking parameters. Nextologies Auto Commercial Detection

Across the industry, enterprises are dealing with how to enable video replacement in real time, without adding significant latency or affecting the quality of stream for the video broadcast industry. ACD enables video replacement, specifically advertisement insertion, allowing broadcasters to tap into the vast revenue driving potential of addressable advertising and making their channels compatible with FAST platforms to further expand potential reach.

Sky Sports Boxing Viewers Verdict, powered by Dizplai’s Interactive applications, gave Sky Sports a unique perspective from their boxing fans before and during the live fights. The first in the U.K. with an all-female lineup, and also a first of Sky gamifying the live sport viewing experience, 45,000 fans took part by scoring each round, making them part of the live experience and generated unprecedented viewing figures of 2 million.

The goal was not only to create a compelling fan-friendly app, but to integrate the digital offering with Sky Sports Boxing’s broadcast via live graphics, feeding the opinions of the viewers directly into the editorial. There was buzz around the interactive nature of the experience. Sky advertised the app with QR codes,

and momentum gathered with every round as new participants entered their scores. The production team could open and close rounds themselves and add new polls during the evening, changing what the audience was experiencing in real time, and to encourage participation with Sky. The result was a process that gave viewers an instant view of what other viewers were doing, and provided Sky with information that they could use in dynamic, live broadcast graphics. The discrepancy in scoring between viewers and judges was particularly noticeable in one fight, and the on-air editorial was able to use this app as a talking point. It’s a pivotal moment in Boxing Viewing as scoring can be highly subjective leading to countless controversies, when judges’ scorecards fail to tally with public perception.

Witbe’s Remote Eye Controller (REC) is a software application that allows network operation center teams and remote testers to access and control their test devices from anywhere in the world. This removes the need for engineers to travel thousands of miles to test specific devices in the field.

Recently, Witbe introduced a brand new version of REC that’s available directly on the web, with no application required. It can run on any modern web browser, bolstering REC’s capabilities by enabling users to control their devices on smartphones, tablets and more. In addition, Witbe’s updated offering builds on previous versions with improved latency, a stronger search and native full-screen and picture-in-picture modes.

REC aggregates any testing and monitoring devices used

by service providers — including STBs, OTT devices, mobile phones, gaming consoles and more — on the same screen, allowing users to control several devices at once. With the software’s device view, users can see and hear all their testing and monitoring devices, while the mosaic view allows them to watch multiple device streams at once and efficiently monitor any differences among them. This is a critical capability for checking service updates countrywide, or monitoring blackouts during live events. Any team member can bring up a view of that device’s screen, allowing them to see exactly what their customers are seeing. The device’s remote is also displayed next to the screen view, allowing users to take control in real time. Furthermore, REC provides secure access with SSO and per-user ACL.

Zixi Zixi Live Events Manager

In September of this year, Zixi launched the Live Events Manager in ZEN Master. The Live Events Manager includes powerful new tools in ZEN Master to help organizations build and visualize event schedules.
