L'ANTICA PIZZERIA DA MICHELE
Da Michele, a storied Neapolitan pizzeria dating back to 1870, now has a shop in Fukuoka, its third after Naples and Tokyo. Master pizzaiolo Massimo, who was trained at the Naples shop, uses the same type of pizza oven and the same ingredients used at the original shop. (The cheese is flown in twice a week from Italy!) Only two kinds of pies are served, margherita and marinara, and they are to be eaten with a knife and fork in true Naples style. The vaulted ceiling adds to the atmosphere, but balcony seats are also available if you wish to dine al fresco.

There are over 20,000 new tuberculosis patients every year in Japan and it affects not only the elderly but younger generations too. If diagnosed early, it can be cured; undiagnosed, untreated cases, however, can spread and even result in death. The main symptoms are coughing, fever, phlegm, phlegm with blood, chest pain, dullness, night sweats and weight loss. If you have had a cough for over two weeks or have any of the above symptoms, please get checked. Fukuoka City offers free chest X-ray examinations for students at Japanese language schools and their families, and people who entered Japan within the last five years and are yet to have been examined.

ISSHIN FURAN DAIMYO
Thirteen years ago, Isshin Furan hung out its shingle in Daimyo, and it has quietly made a name for itself among intense competition. The owner, previously a chef in a Japanese restaurant in Miyazaki, had an epiphany when he tried ramen in Fukuoka. He gave up his old occupation to pursue a career in ramen, but traces of his Japanese-style cuisine remain in his noodles. He uses a generous 1:1 ratio of water and pork bones for his soup, which help cut down on the aroma, and he boils it for two days to bring out the umami. The menu features five types of ramen: Black tonkotsu (soy sauce), White tonkotsu (salt), Red (sake lees miso), Gold (chicken + salted rice malt), and hearty tantanmen. Since opening, the Black ramen has been the most popular. The thin, chewy noodles blend perfectly with the thick, rich soup. There is also a side menu full of original items all worth a try if you're still hungry after finishing your noodles.

KOROKAN, THE ANCIENT GUESTHOUSE: A Witness to the Dreams and Hopes of Generations Past
The harbor inside Hakata Bay was a key gateway to Japan on the Silk Road, and saw many diplomatic missions pass through during the Nara and Heian periods. For about 400 years, from the latter half of the seventh to the eleventh century, the Korokan was used as a reception hall to entertain key figures at the forefront of diplomacy and trade in ancient Japan. One hundred years have passed since the remains were discovered. The Chinese goods brought to Japan via this route were highly sought after at the time and had a profound impact on the formation of Japanese culture. This exhibition will feature various attractions, including the remains discovered in 1987 when the outfield bleachers at the Heiwadai baseball stadium in Chuo-ku were renovated. The subsequent excavation that began the following year led to the discovery of historical materials related to the people and the goods that travelled along the route.

El Borracho, a Fukuoka-based Mexican restaurant with shops throughout the city as well as Tokyo (and even Cancun!) has added a craft beer bar and grill to its lineup: Fukuoka Craft. Located in the heart of Daimyo, the new shop, which just opened this July, has an open kitchen visible from the street that serves up Mexican BBQ, craft tequila and 10 kinds of craft beer on tap. For a quick bite, try the carnitas—pulled pork tacos topped with guacamole. Prefer dining more leisurely? Try the BBQ platter. An on-site craft beer brewery is slated to open next spring.

Try the trademark chilled baked apple topped with honey and vanilla ice cream, or the dried persimmons topped with cream cheese and grapes. Autumn’s Biggest Festival in Fukuoka
博多の三大祭りのひとつ - 放生会
HOJOYA FESTIVAL
This seven-day festival has a history of over one thousand years, and gives thanks for the blessings of nature. It’s one of Fukuoka’s big three festivals, and draws over one million visitors every year! Watch religious rituals and stage performances, and explore the one-kilometer path to the shrine, which is filled with 500 stalls offering games, tasty snacks (like takoyaki), fresh ginger and more. From Shinto rituals to stage performances to busy street stalls, Hojoya offers the entire Japanese festival experience!
這個感謝大自然恩惠的七日祭典已持 續了千年以上的歷史，是福岡三大祭 典之一。每年吸引超過一百萬人次旅 客造訪！觀賞宗教儀式和舞台演出， 或者探訪到神社前一公里的路徑，琳 琅滿目的 500 個攤位，包含了各種 遊戲、美味小吃（像是章魚燒）、和 生薑等。從莊嚴的神社儀式到忙碌的 路邊攤販，在放生會體驗完整的日式 祭典！

하카타를 대표하는 축제 하코자키구 호죠야. 1주일에 걸쳐 본전에서는 여러 의식이 치러지며 경내 에 서는 각 종 행사가 열린다. 만물의 생명을 가엾이 여기고 살생을 경계하며 가을의 결실에 감사 하 는 이 축제의 기원은 10 0 0 년도 더 되었다고. 참배로에는 귀신의 집과 각종 게임, 수확해 바로 출하하는 신선한 생강 등 50 0여 개의 노점이 들어서며 총 100만 명이 방문한다.
