2011 InnoBev Global Beverages Summit About the venue The United States is the world’s biggest economy, with a population of over 300 million. Washington DC was founded in 1790, by an act of Congress, as the country’s new capital. Situated on the Potomac River, the city plays host to many of the nation’s key institutions, monuments and museums, with the federal government and tourism dominating the city’s activities. From 26 March to 10 April 2011, the city will host its 98th annual National Cherry Blossom Festival, which marks the anniversary of the gift of 3,000 cherry trees from the city of Tokyo in 1912. Three airports serve the Washington area. The Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) is 7 miles from the Four Seasons Hotel and handles all major national airlines. The Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) services all national and international airlines and is 26 miles west of Washington. The Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI) services all major national and international airlines and is 30 miles east of the city. Situated in vibrant, upscale Georgetown, the Four Seasons Hotel Washington DC has 222 guest rooms, an interior winter garden and state of the art fitness and spa facilities. Just 12 blocks from the White House, the hotel is close to business, diplomatic and government offices as well as museums and heritage sites. About the event The US non-alcoholic beverages market is the largest in the world at 110 billion litres in 2009. While carbonated soft drinks remain strong at 48% of total consumption, the sector is now competing against a growing number of categories including iced tea and energy products, both of which have shown great growth potential. Beverages are now centre stage on serious social issues, notably health and the environment. The industry is well placed to shape its own future by demonstrating leadership in these key areas and by working collaboratively to bring about positive change. The 7th InnoBev Global Beverages Summit, held in co-operation with the American Beverage Association, will address the challenges and opportunities facing beverage producers in their quest to ensure a “Healthy industry for a healthy society.” The summit, incorporating retail tours, a conference, insight workshops and an awards gala dinner, brings together industry leaders, suppliers, customers and analysts to gain a complete overview of the latest trends and developments from around the world, with extensive time for informal contact and discussion. Booking To reserve your place, please use the form enclosed with this programme or visit www.zenithinternational.com/events.
