LETTER FROM

OUR

MANAGING EDITOR

Hello, front row readers and fans! We are ecstatic

to release our September Issue —proudly the Second Anniversary of what you’ve come to expect from MOST magazine —which features the names and faces in Fashion and Celebrity; our virtual row call around the globe! We find them where they are at in the legacies of their dreams as we chase them from coast to coast in between the moments of catwalks, photo shoots, interviews, hair and makeup, agent meetings, and passport stamps. Within a bustling industry of the new Fall schedules and Fashion Weeks, this is no small feat catching up with these girls in high heels or men behind the lenses. Granted, there are parties to attend, screenings, fittings, and planes to catch; all while sipping on Americanos, snapping selfies and sneaking in a nap between touch-ups and interviews. This is what we love and do best, so follow us to the locations set my featured glam teams and photographers as we present the innovative designs and just-the-right-lighting of some of our favorite talents in the Biz! IN FLOWERS // First off, Editor Darcy Tharp meets with Courtney Sixx for FASHION FLOWERS, shot by Troy Jensen; showing off the How2Girl’s creative DIY ways to design and wear her favorite accessory, inspired by music festivals and love for entertaining! IN WATER // Getting wet never looked so good. Colorado photographer, Rebecca Marie, takes a dip to an aquatic space where this bride’s train flows further than down an aisle, in SUBMERGED. IN VOGUE // A slice of conceptual vintage. Veritable french fantasia for hair and makeup stylist, Marcela Urioste’s, concept shoot, LES FILLES DE FLEUR; couldn’t be more darling in budding roses with this duo of puckering damsels. IN CHURCH // Swoon with us over French Photographer, Patrice Berchery. He has a suavé way of creating movie like scenery, bending boundaries of context, as the story line of CONFASSIONISTA speaks to a woman’s two-sided conscience between temptations and her confessions thereafter. As VIP Model, Audrey Bouette, captures the allure of passion and glamour in creations by Mimmo Carabetta and Denis Durand, we declare there is no faux pas here! IN LOVE // Featured hair stylist, Sophie Baucaus, and Polish photographer, Weronika Kosinka, get an easy breezy thumbs up! Showing off the coolest coifs on Specto model and fresh face of L’Oréal Professionnel France, Klaudia Kozik’s, photo editorial MODERN LOVE. 6 //

TROY JENSEN

how2girl Bring out your inner Kendall - Jenner Coachella hair vibes with this spin on Music Festivals hottest hair look... buns. When I think of double buns I think of Princess Lea or Scary Spice but not anymore thanks to the lovely Kendall bringing them back! Love that girl. This year I’ve put my own spin on buns by dressing them up with your favorite flowers. It’s as simple as grabbing a handful of flat head silver barrettes. Cutting the stems off of your favorite flowers and hot gluing them onto the barrettes. If you’re working with roses a great trick is to blow in the center loosening up the bloom and then starting from the outside and working your way in pull the petals away from the center to open up the Rose, which will not only double the size but will make it easier to adhere to the barrette. I played around with large and small flowers to add some dimension. Once you get your buns secure with bobby pins, fill in the crown of your head with your creations and bam! You now have the hottest hair of the summer.

eing married to a musician or being a “Rock Wife” as some people would like to call me (although I hate that label,) I’ve been very fortunate to have traveled all over the world watching my husband and his bands Motley Crue and Sixx:AM perform over the past six years. In fact, as I sit here typing away on my laptop I’m looking out the window of a double decker tour bus overlooking the exquisite German countryside on our way from Frankfurt to Warsaw. It’s early June, it’s gorgeous out and there’s no denying the energy and buzz of the long awaited music festival season is in the air, so thick you can cut it with a knife. It’s no secret that Summer to early Fall is the season of the world’s hottest music festivals in the all over the world, but especially in Europe (which is why we’re here, well it’s actually why my husband is here. I’m here for one reason and one reason only… European fashion, food and wine. Just kidding. Sort of.) No but seriously here in Europe, festival season is at its absolute peak and I’m a lucky lucky lady to be along for the ride of a lifetime. With that being said, I get to see A LOT of festival fashion. The good, the bad and the fabulous! From the beginning of festival season at Coachella to Download Fest in London FLOWER POWER is making waves like never before. So without further a due... I’m giving you my spin how you can turn your favorite blooms into your hottest accessories this festival season.

Looking for a splash of flowers without making an entire crown? Maybe a crown feels a little too hippie or whimsical to you, or maybe it just seems like too much work. Dry those tears girl because I have THE PERFECT solution for you! To get a killer pop of flower power in less than five minutes all you need is a tiara, a handful of flowers and a hot glue gun. I found my tiara at Party City for $3. Smaller blooms like yellow Daisies are ideal for this look because the type of tiara that works best is a small one. We’re talking seven years old birthday tiara not Miss USA tiara. For this project you can use floral wire if you want but honestly, I prefer the glue gun. It’s just so much faster but once again it’s totally up to you. Grab a handful of flowers, cut the stems off all the way to the very base and hot glue or wire onto the tiara. I have say this is my alltime favorite piece of floral fashion because it is so quick, super simple and compliments any outfit with the perfect pop of color and fun!

favorite do-it-yourself outfit

“I made my own Halloween costume last year for George Clooney and Rande Gerbers Casamigos’ party. I was a Scottish Victoria’s Secret Angel. I made a kilt, thigh high leg warmers, a corset with authentic Scottish buttons, and lots of plaid and feathers. It turned out amazing, and I made my husband dress up as William Wallace from the movie, Braveheart.”

“I love my Isabel Marant booties while I’m out on the road with my husband because not only are they adorable, but they are so comfortable, go with everything, and have a good solid chunky heel for walking around festivals and crazy venues. I always have to have my black Chrome Hearts backpack which is a fabulous piece for day and night and is so nice especially in airports to have your hands free. I can’t live without my trusty bandana to give every outfit a little extra oomph. Plus, it doubles as an eye mask when on a plane.

entertaining TIPS / PROUD PARTY

“...Add dry ice to any cocktail or martini for some added and inexpensive sexiness. Don’t need to spend a fortune on expensive flowers; stack up on inexpensive fillers, and use more expensive flowers like roses sparingly to cut costs.”

“I get a lot of inspiration by fashion that’s showing up on the catwalks. Watching the trends from my favorite designers like Chloe, Balmain, and Chanel totally inspire how I entertain from color pallettes for flowers to shapes and textures. I had so much fun helping Kylie Jenner throw her first holiday dinner at her new house which was featured on her KYLIE App.” www. M O S T mag.com //

WATCH ME

“For my 27th birthday I got up on stage in Detroit and did a Burlesque/Pussy Cat Doll type dance to “Girls Girls Girls.” It was a fun surprise for Nikki, but since I’m not a professional dancer it took about two weeks of practicing to learn a minute of choreography. I was scared out of my mind. From the side of the stage prepparing to go out, I had a panic attack. I took two shots of tequila, and the wardrobe stylist literally pushed me out on stage. Once I got out there, I felt the crazy energy coming off of 20+ thousand people and instantly got super into it. I had the time of my life, but I literally thought I was going to pass out or die of nervousness. It made me really take my hat off to performers; it definitely takes a special type of person!” TELL-ALL

BEST TV APPEARANCE

“I had a special on the How-To’s leading up to my wedding on Entertainment Tonight. It featured everything from the design and making of my wedding dress, to the cocktails, the flowers, and the cake. It was really special, and I feel so grateful they were along for the ride as I captured all of these once-ina-lifetime experiences on film! Plus, it was very cool that Nikki and I got to share part of our journey with the viewers.”

SOMEONE ELSe’s SHOES

“ We never go more than two weeks without seeing each other when Nikki is touring which is so important. When we are both home our favorite date night is taking our two Golden Retrievers, Leica and Houdini for a walk followed by sushi or Indian food and a movie at home. Nikki loves romantic comedies, more than I do actually. It’s pretty cute.” QUALITY TIME

Bring out your inner Kendall Jenner - Coachella hair vibes with this spin

on Music Festivals hottest hair look, buns. When I think of double buns

I think of Princess Lea or Scary Spice but not anymore thanks to the lovely al wire and forming it into a circular

shape making sure it fits comfortably around your head leaving it a little

extra room because it will get tighter once all of the flowers are on. Next,

tape the ends of the circle shut using floral tape. (Available at Michaels Arts & Crafts)

Now for the fun part. Add some pretty greenery to camouflage the fact that you have a giant wire covered in

green tape around your head. To do

this secure each stem of leafs to the circle using floral tape wrapping it 3 to 4 times making sure it’s secure. If you’re running short on time this entire project can also be done

with a hot glue gun although if you

are working with heavy blooms like Peonies you will most likely need

wire as well. Once you have your crown covered in greens it’s time to add your flowers.

Cut the stems off of your flowers

leaving about 2 inches and securely

tape, wire or hot glue onto your crown rotating different shapes, sizes and

colors as you go along. Tape normally

does the trick but if you feel the flower is a bit heavy or isn’t staying in place bust your floral wire, and I promise you, it will not move!

After you’ve finished adding your

flowers try it on making sure it’s even, comfortable and most importantly

looks fierce and voila! Watch out , the flower child has arrived.

“I love being creative and putting things together, whether it’s film or infomercials which I produced or How2Girl segments, dinner parties, charity events, etc. As long as I’m creating, I’m happy. I’ve never wanted to act, not that it’s out of the picture. Never say never!”

WORKOUT ROUTINE

PRODUCTION

COURTNEY SIXX

Who says flowers are only meant to have adored around your home, for gifts and for entertaining? I say it’s time to add some extra oomph to any outfit at your favorite festival by turning your favorite flowers into floral jewelry. This is such a simple and oh so chic way to dress up any look in minutes without breaking the bank. All you need is your favorite color Orchid or any other flower that you can find multiple blooms per stem and some green or gold floral wire. To make a necklace, cut your stem, cut two pieces of wire and carefully wrap the wire around both ends of your stems. Put the necklace on and secure in place by tying the wire into a loose knot. As for the ring, using a smaller stem of flowers, secure both sides with wire and weave in between 2-3 fingers (depending on the size of the stem), knotting or twisting the wire loosely to stay in place. I have to say, I would totally rock a floral necklace to a party, a luncheon or even a wedding. It’s literally the prettiest and least expensive piece of jewelry you’ll ever own!

“Entertaining hands down! I love a good party, and there is nothing better than creating a gorgeous event for your family and friends!”

PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS

CHALLENGE ME

“Becoming a guest host on Larry King’s new show, The Collectors Café. He really is the best at what he does, and there was a lot of pressure not to screw up! He’s the sweetest though.”

“...He does everything and anything he sets his mind to.” THE INSPIRATION

“Find out what you’re passionate about and become an expert in that area. That way when you’re writing about something or interviewing someone your love for it will seamlessly shine through without seeming forced.”

tepping into the ring with a 5’10, 115 lb., blonde WWE Superstar, Summer Rae, might sound like a good idea. After personal reflection, it’s that Spinning Heel Kick that gives us pause despite the promise of warmer weather. MOST caught up with the WWE Superstar, model and actress, Danielle Moinet, just after Helen Maroulis won Team USA’s first-ever gold medal in women’s wrestling. Bursting with pride for her sport, we talked to the actress about life on the road, fashion necessities and how the convictions of others, inspire her the “most.” www. M O S T mag.com //

In the island neighborhood of Manhasset, New York, roughly 19 miles from Manhattan, Danielle was born. However, in Raleigh, North Carolina, a young Danielle spent her Saturday mornings watching one of the earliest forms of reality television. Far from your typical morning fare, this budding actress grew up watching the likes of Brutus the Barber Beefcake take on an electrifying Ravishing Rick Rude. She recalls those early mornings fondly, “My dad and I would watch WWE on Saturday mornings, it was our thing.” Little did she know, she would soon be providing that same sense of shock and awe to millions of viewers around the world. After graduating from Eastern Carolina University with a BS in Business Marketing, Danielle went on to work in a myriad of different areas. From fork lifts and plumbing to the Brand Ambassador and spokeswomen for Bobby Labonte’s NASCAR team, this WWE Superstar has always been on the rise.

s. Moinet signed with WWE in 2011 and literally jumped into the ring with both feet. Immersing herself in the sports entertainment world, we watch transfixed, as this WWE Superstar embodies character, Summer Rae. This luscious, self-absorbed and highly calculated Superstar is “Extremely fun to play because it couldn’t be farther from the truth.” When you hear her talk about her career, the love for her craft shines through. www. ften times met by fans who share her appreciation for the beloved art form, “Everyone has good memories associated with WWE, and that’s part of what I love about being a WWE Superstar.” To share those special moments with her father and bring him backstage, “It’s a pretty cool full circle moment.” With a WrestleMania sized schedule, Danielle’s week starts on the weekends. Flying out for live shows on Friday or Saturday, she then drives from city to city for live events and Monday Night Raw. “In between traveling and performing I have to find time to squeeze in a workout,” which is the first thing Danielle does when she gets off the plane. “There simply isn’t much time for anything else.” MOST talked to the actress about what influences her personal style, ironically that hectic travel schedule plays a major part in what she wears. “Being able to go from the airport straight to events day and night,” is a must for the jet setter. With 100% creative control over what she wears, when putting together her “ring gear” she’s careful to take into account movability and comfort. She candidly shares, “In my real life, beauty is a pain, but in the ring I have to make sure everything is practical.” So what are Danielle’s must haves in her wardrobe; “A great pair of leggings, flat knee high boots, my black Louboutin pumps, a big hobo bag and my leather jacket.” Sounds pretty bad ass to MOST readers as we quickly assess our closets to keep up.

hen asked that age old question about jewelry, she is a firm believer in “Less is more, always.” If we could send this fashionista to the fashion show of her choice and sit front row, close enough to smell the fabric, the choice is simple, “Chanel eludes timeless femininity.” She finds the show and production spectacular and would love to witness this first hand. Spoken like a true showman.

ocial media allows Danielle to reach out to her fans and provides that up close experience that fans crave. It has become an absolute necessity in increasing her brand. The best outlet to do that for the WWE Superstar is, “Snapchat, which allows me to show the differences between my character, Summer Rae, and the real Danielle.” We at MOST dispense our adoration equally.

As positive an experience as social media can be, “Cyber Bullying is a very real thing in today’s society.” Danielle can remember growing up and, “Home was a safe place.” Today’s victims cannot simply turn away, which is why she plays an active role in the WWE’s Be a STAR anti-bullying initiative. This remarkable campaign teaches young people how to treat each other. WWE and its Superstars, “Discuss the importance of sharing tolerance and respect.” The WWE Superstar has zero tolerance for bullying within her personal social media.

Shifting gears we discussed the WWE Superstar’s favorite guilty pleasures. “My guilty pleasures are all food.” She goes on to say, “I love an extra-large stuffed crust pizza, any type of sweets; and hey, let’s be honest. I love a good reality show.” We hear you Danielle. In between traveling, laundry and repacking for the road, this versatile talent enjoys working out. “Living in NYC, I’ve started boxing and I fell in love.” She also loves movies and cooking her own food. “Normal things that people get to do when at home, are the things I enjoy the most.” So what inspires Danielle? “People who love what they do is pretty motivating and it drives me.” Seems simple enough.

hether she’s the first female WWE Superstar cast in a WWE film, The Marine 4: Moving Target, tackling new storylines in the ring, modeling or speaking to today’s youth, seems Danielle is leading by example. It’s that fine example that has us looking forward to our next “Summer Rae break.”

et, Donna tells MOST that despite it seeming from the outside that she lives a glamorous, jetsetting life, at the core she is a very family-oriented, down to earth person whose closest friends are the ones she’s known since she was a little girl. “I think it’s important to spend your quality time with loved ones that are supportive and keep you grounded, especially in the industry that I am in.” Who to surround yourself with, tips for staying relevant in a competitive industry, and how to achieve greatness are some of the topics Donna covers in her recently launched website, secrestsofamodel.com, which she desires to use as a platform for working with brands she respects and to truly empower women. Donna tells MOST about her new venture, reveals her thoughts on social media models, describes what she does to keep a healthy mindset every single day, and even throws in a beauty trick or two. Although, at 5’10 with toned legs for miles and a dark-haired mystique about her, Donna’s natural beauty needs no tricks.

How did you first get started in modeling and acting?

Instagram @oroceo_castro // Shoes - Charles by Charles David Instagram @charlesdavidshoes

I was approached in high school but didn’t begin until I was 19 at my first year of FIDM studying fashion marketing/business management. I thought a good way to network with designers and learn about the process of making a garment was to be a fit model for different clothing brands. I had a local agency sending me out for job opportunities like that, and it lead to runway shows, editorials, advertising jobs, TV commercials, and eventually acting and hosting.

What was your first big break?

My first big job that gave me good exposure was being the trophy model at the Academy

Awards. I ended up on Maxim’s H o t 1 0 0 l ist of the most beautiful women in the world which naturally led to more opportunities.

What’s a Most unique modeling shoot you have ever done?

The most unique shoot was probably when I had to pose with a snake wrapped around me for a billboard advertisement. I could barely breathe from being so scared every moment it moved. Other than that, I would say the most memorable and favorite job was when I did the TV commercial and campaign for Visa Blackcard. It’s not every day that you get to hang

The best part of playing Gloria on Fashion House?

The fun part about Gloria was that she is so different from me. What I enjoyed the most was getting to work with the legendary Tippi Heddrin (from Alfred Hitchcock’s, The Birds). She was really sweet and tried to calm my anxiety by assuring me that I will never have a more difficult job in the acting world. We shot 65 episodes in 13 weeks, which is basically 3 years’ worth of television shot in 3 months. It was the first pilot I ever auditioned for; and I ended up getting cast as a series regular. So it was certainly exciting, but very challenging for someone so inexperienced. I’m grateful for the opportunity I was given; and it led to a really big international fan base because, they ended up airing it in over 50 countries worldwide.

When you are dressing yourself, what are your go-to designers? Also, how would you describe your everyday style?

I don’t care as much about labels as I do about the cut and fit of a garment. I tend to like timeless styles. You can never go wrong with a little black dress when going to an event. Whether it’s Dolce // Bodysuit - Stefanie Naylor Couture Instagram @stefanienaylorcouture // Pants + Duster - Femme LA Instagram @femme_la

& Gabanna, Marciano— or even Target—it doesn’t make a difference where it’s from, as much as how you look and feel in it. As far as my everyday style, it depends on my mood. I can feel girly and wear a

When you are preparing for a shoot or for a TV appearance, what types of food do you eat or not eat?

Funny enough, I’m headed to New York to shoot for a high-end lingerie client. In order to prepare, I tried to avoid much gluten in my diet, ate plenty of vegetables, // DRESS Designer - Steph Audino Instagram @stephaudinolabel // Necklace - Marciano Instagram @mariciano // Shoes - Aldo Instagram @aldo_shoes

and snacked on veggies dipped in hummus for example or had air-popped popcorn as a treat. I also regularly avoid red meat (only salmon, eggs, and chicken as my protein) and like to blend up yummy vegetable/fruit smoothies in the morning for breakfast. I also avoid soda and beer. I find myself looking and feeling better when I stick to water and green tea.

You just launched your own blog called “Secrets of a Model,” and did a post about how to stay consistently busy and book more jobs. Do you have any tips to add to those five?

I mentioned in my blog post the importance of not taking things personally when you don’t book a job. I also mentioned the importance of having a positive attitude, networking/staying in touch, having good communication with your agent about your goals and the clients you see yourself working for, and really treating your business as an actual business! The only thing I would add is that it’s always helpful to recommend talented people you like working with to other clients. Not only are you going to be happy with the results and enjoy working with someone you like, but I also believe in karma. You never know; there may come a time down the line where that person has a chance to recommend someone to their client and guess what? You may just find yourself on the top of their list.

I saw you posted an interesting article from Vogue about social media and modeling. Do you feel like your modeling has been made more successful because of social media, or do you think the market is getting oversaturated and losing the quality of work, in favor of followers?

It’s an interesting topic that comes up a lot lately with some of the photographer friends I have. They can’t believe that the clients are having castings and instead of being focused on the quality of the model’s portfolio, they’re more concerned with how many “followers” she has. This means the requirements of being at least 5’9’’ or actually being a professional that’s represented by areputable agency seem to be less and less important. These days a girl posting photos in a G-string doing squats at the gym will be seen as an “influencer” and get paid well to promote various brands on her social media, but the gorgeous girl with potential to be the next Victoria’s Secret model without much // Jacket + Blouse + Pants (above) - Oroceo Instagram @oroceo_castro // TOP (right) - VEPLEN

knowledge or interest in the social media scene will lose out on several opportunities because she is solely relying on her agent to take charge of her career.

instagram @veplen

Instead of letting this upset me too much, I see it as a chance to use social media as a tool for networking. It allows access to amazing creative people that you You have been featured in music videos with the

You encourage people to write their own “story” and achieve greatness, and say that you went to a Tony Robbins workshop that changed your life. What is something different you do daily to keep your mindset in the right place, and keep your confidence going?

When I find myself getting overly stressed out I stop to remind myself to change my expectations for appreciation. It is the fastest way to remind yourself of how blessed you really are; instead of letting selfsabotaging, toxic thoughts run through your mind. My day completely turns around when I check myself and make this shift.

What are some of your beauty secrets?

I try to drink plenty of water and rarely drink coffee since it seems to stimulate acne. I also never travel without lip gloss, mascara (Too-Faced’s BetterThan Sex is my favorite), and chewable Melatonin in case I have trouble sleeping on an airplane. Other than that, I would say the number one beauty secret is having happiness in your life. Stress causes major health issues, is completely toxic, and it will age you. Surround yourself with people that lift you up and make you smile.

WHAT I S F O M ? FoM® is a brand new skin care product line designed exclusively from the start to enhance the look and style of both men and women. We call it Sex-Flex™ formulation. FoM® isn’t about androgyny, but rather the embodiment of today’s movement towards unique expression and selfdetermination. A celebration of your unique individuality! The beginnings of FoM® started off when we took note of the changes happening in people’s attitudes about themselves and their world: a new interest in self-determination and actualization. Why does the world need another skin care brand?

Given our interest in aesthetics and style, we turned to the beauty and skin care industry and surveyed the landscape. We weren’t happy with what we saw! There were no products, let alone brands, that we could find that resonated with this new world/life view. In the “old days”, brands existed to make you conform to the company’s view of the world—its view of what it was to be “cool”, or beautiful and handsome. But what skin care line was embracing the new 21st century view of “being your own brand”? None, until FoM®.

WHAT I S f a c e / i t ? Our very first product! face/it is not makeup, and much more than a moisturizer. We call it a facial enhancer. face/it is a cream that has self-adjusting tint that instantly blends to your skin tone for a smooth, flawless, natural finish. face/it is perfect for both girls wanting a fresh, clean style and guys who want an edge in looking their best.

face/ i t • Evens skin tone and helps hide imperfections • Auto-Adjusting Color blends to your natural skin tone We are bringing to market not only a product but also a brand that is true to you and your lifestyle. We are designing all our products to that end. FoM will change and grow as you do, and never try and restrict you into a narrow-minded world that some Madison Avenue advertising executive thinks you should exist in! We think aesthetics are evolving—and we all are as well. Come join us on the journey, and get your FoM® on!

• Comes in three natural shades: light, medium, and deep • Ultra-lightweight with replenishing moisture • Absorbs excess oil • Rich in natural anti-oxidants • Contains natural mineral based sun screen • Fragrance free

This in turn gives off a higher energy to others; resulting in improved perception and reaction with those you interact. “Balance your features and you’ll balance your life.” His biggest beauty advice is “Exercise more. Get the right foundation. Toss the magnifying mirror to look at the big beautiful picture.”

Talent runs in the family for model and actress Kristin Taylor Linkletter, who is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Her younger sister, Jayden Linkletter is also both a model and actress, and the two have often worked together. Kristin is represented by her modeling agent, Tricia Romani, of Wilhelmina Vancouver and for acting by Sylvie Stoyanov of City Talent Management.

Kristin began modeling when she was 14 years old and quickly grew to love it. Whether doing editorial, runway, look-books, or commercials she excels at all aspects of modeling. She has found that, like acting, modeling challenges her to frequently play a different role or persona.

Also an avid supporter of animal rights, Kristin recently embraced becoming vegan during a recent three-month contract for modeling in Seoul, South Korea. Kristin’s goal is to hopefully be able to use her platform to raise awareness and aid for animal rights and other causes that are very important to her, including cancer research as the disease has directly affected her family and friends.
